  1. I think bringing the corner of the beak farther into the mouth closer to the snout will simplify the splining and may be be more "character" looking. BeakCorner.mdl
  2. Anything you want, really. I think the worst DVD commenter is Arnold Schwarzenegger. Most of his comments are either "Oh, I remember shooting this scene..." or "Here's the scene where I..."
  3. for the dark corners of the 5-pointers... make sure your normals are all in the same direction.
  4. You'll probably have to adjust something. Usually when you start rigging something complex you find something you ought to respline anyway. It's a back and forth series of iterations.
  5. A hook won't attach where you've drawn it?
  6. It works great, thanks!
  7. That's an option but I wanted to give people a chance to do something custom made if they can.
  8. Yes, it will work just fine! If I figure out how to make a DVD image it will be an alternate audio track, otherwise it will be another version of the movie. Same movie, different audio.
  9. Fae Alba (aka Paul Harris).. I'm seeing a lot of flickering in the pants of your character. Do I have the right version? If that is the last version, maybe someone on the forum could diagnose it. (I'm guessing it's some sort of multiple instance rendering problem)
  10. I'd like to get sound for these segments: TheSpleen's three segments Paul Harris (aka Fae Alba) Glenn Dblhelix got sound now ChrisDailey If the original artist is busy (I presume that's why there isn't sound for them) maybe someone with a knack for sound would like to volunteer on any of them? Sound effects, music only, or music with sound effects are all valid options. Respond below to stake a claim to one, ask the artist if it's ok for you to do it, and make sure they love it when you're done. These new sound track should be stereo or mono WAVs, 48 KHz

  12. Yeah I need that. Sorry i didn't catch the first one.
  13. I can do that. Chaplin used to do that.
  14. Sorry, there's no rush! I forgot you were doing it. Carry on!
  15. I'm thinking some heel taps and the sound of the bottle clanking would work well. or make some appropriate music?
  16. Hey, Gerry, I'm missing frames 721 and 722.
  17. It looks economical! It may be asking too much for one patch to be a whole 1/4th of a breast but maybe it depends on how close we'll get to them?
  18. Have I gotten the finished version of this yet?
  19. The sun seems to be aimed directly along the length of the train so the shadow is covered by the train. Try aiming the sun from the side of the scene rather than the front.
  20. the two sides look awfully close. I don't know how it really is. Or is that image squeezed somehow?
  21. Bump maps creates the illusion of surface shape details but only in a simple shading manner. They don't change the surface shape. AO and Fake AO depends on actual surface shape to create its shading effect in the recesses and crevices of a model. Here's a surface with a bump map applied. The shading in the recesses represents the direct light only and not the environment illumination By processing the bump map we can make another map that shades the recesses approximately the way the ambient light would. Here's that map added as a Diffuse Map to the surface. Here's the original test image... Now blurred with Gaussian Blur... (this is saved and used as the BumpMap) In Photoshop Other>High Pass filter... In Photoshop Adjust>Curves to scrunch the grays up closer to white... (this is saved and used as the Diffuse map at 40%)
  22. I don't think Stian sets his shadow color to blue. I think it's the fill that is adding blue to the dark shadows.
