  1. This one I could definitely use. Thanks John.
  2. I see you went back to those funny coins with holes. Nice render, exceptional modeling (as always), but what's the story line?
  3. That looks fantastic! Wow!
  4. That's a nice looking tart Job well done Steve.
  5. Congrats on taking the first step. That's encouraging
  6. Thanks Charlie. That explains it pretty well for me
  7. Please enlighten me; is final resolution same as final render? And why the different screens? Is that what is called composites? Is this for special effects?
  8. Well, Kevin, it looks like you're becoming our resident Star Wars Hasher Your stuff is impressive.... most impressive... (the last phrase morphs into Darth's voice)
  9. What do you mean? Surely positive comments don't upset you.
  10. Mike, I think this is coming along quite nicely. I have a question; are you working on the shots in chronological order or do you jump from scene to scene and then stitch them (edit them) together later?
  11. Hi Will, Good seeing you at the Bash. Here's the file info you requested of the sound file: Bit Rate 1411kbps Audio sample size 16bit Channels 2(stereo) Audio sample rate 44kHz Audio format PCM
  12. Hi Waheed, here are my answers: 1- I don't know of any bevel plug-ins, but, basically, when you extrude your bevel edge and it looses its curvature, simply choose those cps and click on the smoothe button (which is above the peak button on the right). 2- That problem is eliminated in v13 (I think). 3- I personally like the QT training videos that Hash has on line, but the majority of others have them displayed on a web page.
  13. Job well done Gary Keep up the good work.
  14. Did you drag the sound file in your chor. window?

That's some incredible work! Nice going
  16. I'm committed to the TWO project, I was just wondering: Is Animation Master also being used? (Like TWO)
  17. Mike's right, it's always that first step which is the hardest.
  18. How about this Saturday, 3:00pm at Panera in Fremont just so we can break the ice, put a face on the name and just before some of us go to the Hash Bash the next day? http://www.panera.com/Map.aspx?LocationId=824 P.S. Do send me a PM if you are interested since this is a short notice.
  19. Whooaa! It looks like it just came from Baghdad! Nice work.
  20. I can't believe MK is still going. I had hours of fun playing it with my kids many many moons ago. Of course once my kids got good at it and started beating me every time I lost interest.
  21. Tried it at 24fps and at 15fps, no change. Robert, do you have a MIDI program that you create music with? If so, at what rate do you put it? I don't see how that should affect anything since I'm animating to the sound, but I'm no programmer so there may be something to it. I'm going to try to re-import the sound again and this time make it lag 4 frames behind the action and see what happens..
  22. AVI render didn't make a difference. I deleted the sound file and reimported it but this time I had it start 2 frames behind the animation. We'll see how it goes. Robert; you might be on to something here, I never took the frame rate into consideration. I'll try that after this last render is finished.
  23. Well, the set up is very basic, I have Shaggy playing a drum. The drum sound is a simple MIDI file that I converted to WAV and imported in A:M. I animated Shaggy to play the drum in sync with the sound. I rendered it to a .mov, but everytime I play it Shaggy's hands begin to lag behind the sound (i.e. it gets progressively out of sync with the sound). That basically is the problem. I've made some work before with a far more complicated sound (a song) with no problems in v11.0 Now I'm rendering it in an AVI format to see if there's a difference. If there isn't I'll go back and follow Rodney's advice & preceed the sound by 2 frames.
  24. I rendered it in the default Animation mode (the file size jumped from 4.61MB to 19.6MB, the results are exactly the same I'll render it to AVI & see if that makes a difference.
  25. OK, I'll let it render while I go to bed. I'll post tomorrow. Thanks Rodney....<...yawn...>
