    New Creature

Curtis, with your knowledge of sound editing, you are one rare resource in this forum Glad to have you helping out.

    library

This is what I do: after I open the primitive from the library, I select it and copy it. Then I delete the primitive, it'll ask if I want to save the changes, I choose NO. Then I paste the primitive in my model window.
  3. What if you choose those point, go to front view and simply move them down to create a hole where your dugout can go?
  4. This definitely should be in WIP. Thanks Charlie for sharing this project. Would you mind if I download this project and follow along?
  5. No. I don't do sarcasm. I really am impressed with your work. I can't wait to see more of your work because it is so good, inspirational (no sarcasm, just my true opinion). Keep up the good work.
  6. Well, Kevin, I can't wait...
  7. Yah, what he means is that they can't lift their arms to the sides, only front and back. If you look at the hinges of their shoulders, the arms will only swing forward and backward, but not to their sides. They either have to have a compound hinge or a ball in socket joint.
  8. That looks cool, especially the translucent screen. Please keep us updated
  9. Charlie, I heard tomato juice gets rid of the skunk stink.
  10. Impressive indeed. Good to know such feature exists in A:M. Like Will said, so many features, so little time to learn them.
  11. I have that exact same roto for some time before TWO project came and took me away from it. I'll be keeping an eye on this worthwhile project. I think this is the best batmobile ever!
  12. I'm not sure if you need to save your action in the library unless you're going to reuse that exact same action in another project. I simply create the action and then drop it on my character in chor. About phonemes; there is an inherent tendency for chatter, where the uninitiated animator will input each and every syllable in the dope sheet and the program will make the character pronounce every letter which will then give a very un-natural render of speech. It's best you see yourself in a mirror speaking the lines, you'll be amazed at how little we actually move our mouths during speech, and then use only the phonemes where a change in mouth shape is necessary.
  13. Yeah, it's a few dollars, good cause aside, if you were into this as much as we are, that's pennies compared to what you'd have spent if you were Pixar or Dream Works. Your support of your son's interest is admirable.
  14. That sounds like a worthwhile project, challenging, fun and for a good cause. Here's wishing you success
  15. Looks good indeed. I'd make the hands bigger still, at least 3 times bigger, that's cartooning for ya Good job.
  16. That is a promising story for an animated feature. Are you planning on animating it?
  17. Can you screen cap. paused DVD images on a computer?
  18. Wow! That is one incredible scene. Great job.
  19. So what you're saying is this splines only, no patches?
  20. I like Audis, especially the TT. Your method is a proven method so stick to it. Personally, I'd like to see the Deckard's spinner car modeled from the movie Bladerunner [attachmentid=17014]
  21. I counted about 3 seconds on my home cable network. That's some good tutorial.
  22. So you like to model concept cars, that's sweet. Sometimes you can find the views you want in car magazines or, if you know the artist's name, contact him directly, via Google.
  23. Great job! That's one mean weapon.
  24. Noah, just so you know, your piece was shown at Martin's house during the Hash Bash, and you got cheers from the audience
  25. The "there is no spoon" inspiration? Or Yoda's mind over matter technique? Nice work.
