Yeah, you are right. There's been a glitch. I'll update it when I get back from work today. I'll also see if I can change the colors to be not so saturated

Thanks guys for your kind words and great suggestions Not yet. I'm awaiting a new and better raw video footage to work from

Hi guys. I just want to share a small project I just did. Its nothing fancy, just a few billiard balls (which I suspect is the most cliché thing to make in 3d? ). Anyway, I hope you like it anyway Best regards Stian

Thank you all for the great comments and crits. I agree to them all. Anyone have any good ideas how to make believable particles/dirt that is thrown in the air when the plane hits the ground? What I want to do and probably will, is to make a new footage with a better camera and redo most of it

Hi all! Happy new year! I've the last couple of weeks been playing with the beechcraft and a video footage from where I grew up as a child (I did the footage this Christmas with my cellphone). There is several things I would like to do different. Due to the footage I cant have the speed I want on the plane, and the landing is a little to short. Anyway, let me know what you think. Also, I don't like the smoke on the end, but I'm not sure how to make it better. Oh, and there is probably some scale issues too? I struggled to make the ground a lot more dirty, but this was the best I managed to do. Syntheyes is used for tracking. I might do some more work on it, but not right now The animation: beechcrash.mov A screengrab:

Nice models indeed! and great resemblance. I am very impressed of how low patched they are. Great job!
-
Awesome model and render!

The image is uploaded to CGTalk. If you leave a comment there I will be very glad!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I started working with 3D and A:M three years ago I never thought of it that way. I've only had photo ref for the wire. You are probably right though I'm not sure what you mean. I couldn't find any missing patches on the model. Could it be reflections you see? I tend to sharpen my renders i PS (something I personally prefer), do you think that caused some of it?
-
Thank you Rodney. Here is a new render. I've, as you suggested, tried to lighten up the underside of the aircraft. I've also tweaked some of the shaders a little and also added soot behind the exchaust pipes (the soot didn't get that noticeable though..)
-
Thanks guys! Most likely not. I haven't desided yet though Thanks for the tip! I have Investigated a few ref photos, and some of them got exhaust residue, so that is next on my to do list Here is a new render setup. Still tweaking on it, but I thought I should share what I got so far. Let me know

Thanks guys. Here is a new render. I've added a few details (and wheel suspension). Let me know what you think
-
Here is a new update. Missing the wheel suspension and a few details here and there. What do you think?
-
Thank you so much guys! The first render and second render does actually have the same render setup applied. The only difference is that the first is rendered in v13 and the second in v14 Regarding the tracking, I haven't decided if I'm going to use PFHoe or Syntheyes yet, it depends on the outcome of the tracking
-
Thanks guys. I hope to be able to use particles and stuff, but I'll save that till the end. First I need to get the model ready, then the tracking and stuff. Anyway, here is a new update.. What do you think?

Is their a way to render a picture in Animation Master
agep replied to animation man hi's topic in New Users
When you hit [Render to file], just use the drop down menu to select what format you want to render to. Hope this helps -
That is a trick I learned from DanCBradbury using a white HDR image on a plane that is above the model

Hi I've just started a new project. Its a model of the Beechcraft Super King Air 200. I'm still early in the modeling process. My plan for this model is to make it crash (hopefully in a live action test). Even though its not much to see yet, let me know what you think *UPDATE* added latest render:

If you upload the project here or add some screenshots I can take a look at it
-
I'm not sure what kind of problems you have encountered, but here is a proof that it is possible. Its just a little test I did a few weeks ago: http://www.agep.biz/Gallery/johnny6.htm

I'm a little late uploadeing this:p First of all. Thanks to all who woted for my image at the image contest that was last month. I thought I should upload the image here too I've also uploaded the image to CGTalk in case someone wants to leave a comment Best regards Stian

Thanks guys!

Thanks guys! If I remember correctly, I used the same principle as explained in this thread for the belts I did export the recording to 25fps before I ran the tracking, not sure if that made it better though

I dug up an old friend of mine, the stupid robot I made a few years ago. I've been tinkering with SynthEyes the last couple of days. Basically I recorded a video of my desk with my mobile phone and imported it into SynthEyes, did the tracking and adjustments then exported it to A:M. I see there is some jittering on the tracking, but overall I'm satisfied. The animation is just an old and crappy action I made long time ago. Let me know what you think johnny6.mov Here is an small screen capture:

I've uploaded the render to CGTalk in case someone wants to take a look (and perhaps leave a comment:))
