  1. Looks great Mark.....well If you have everyone use the same lights there would be a certain consistency in the look of all the animations but if you allow everyone to drop their own in --it will raise the creativity factor. I would vote for each person making their own.
  2. funny one --and yes the narrator has a very nice voice to listen to.
  3. William----looks pretty nice to me as is .....very nice indeed.
  4. Happy Birthday ........ 21 ----wonderful. Enjoy your day! And many many more ....
  5. Hey chucky ----Happy Birthday! ----Wow you are old....but still kicking .lol And your recent posting for that video game was awesome indeed.
  6. Its just spectacular looking!! Mark..... this shot from the fire escape angle is very real looking indeed. Kudos. Are there any vacancies to rent?
  7. With every tinker it is getting better.........keep it going.
  8. Well .....nice job...very entertaining ......one needs a little different sense of humor to enjoy this kind of stuff but I guess I have it.....smiles.
  9. Chris....that's coming along nicely. Hey I looked at the start of the 2011 task schedule you made ...that's a pretty nice idea and good way to keep progress moving along. I may have to copy that when I get ready to make a project. Smiles.
  10. Nice job chucky-------really nice integration of all the elements and after seeing the screen shots of game near the end of video raised my opinion of how good it was --a couple more notches. Well done indeed. Thanks for posting.
  11. well not sure what you are going to use this for Johnl ---but that did not stop me from playing it over and over ........one thing for me right now if the outside rim was a solid texture it might better focus the eyes to the particles moving. But look forward to seeing what you develop from this start.
  12. tbenefi33- It's been a while since I have been in a maximum security prison like Alcatraz , but i like the lighting in this last one. without knowing what if any outside light is coming in ---it does appear to be like that almost dark outside look inside .....when the indoor lights start to actually do something.
  13. As I slowly get more into things and start actually making some scenes to animate ...I do have to always keep that major principle in my head --The camera's view. (The audience view) . So thanks for that reminder Robert. That's what makes this stuff so challenging yet so neat and fulfilling. There are so many facets , so many details to attend to , sometimes seemingly overly so. That is why I marvel at some of the things I see done here. I appreciate the work , the details put in. Actually, anyone who tries their hand at animation in 3d ( besides being a little wacky for trying) is given one advantage over those who have not - a deeper appreciation of the craft and those who dwell within.
  14. ok --thanks that all makes sense. Funny ---from the outset I always thought I would be doing more in the action tab. But I agree --Robert- repetitions are all so more obvious in 3d work and so the precision of more independent and precise animation becomes much more important to be done in the Chor.
  15. Thumperness.......Well......any complete 3d application is huge. Lots to learn indeed. Sometimes it seems very daunting indeed. My approach has been kind of semi focused on modeling and doing very simple things that hit on a topic i see in forums sometimes or just a few objects that might someday be in a scene I have in head to make. Recently been working with AI files and trying to use some of these object shapes into scenes I may someday use. I do save the models I make that are decent and save all my AI shapes files for later use. I also recently worked a little on a own walk cycle and boy that was tricky business .... Bottom line...I feel good just working on things but sometimes feel the same way ....wow there is a lot to cover and learn!!
  16. So what's the best or most used things one would do in actions? are they only the walk and run cycles?
  17. tbenefi33----that machine gun is crazy good !!! and thanks for your generosity of sharing. I also like the prison cell block scene. Very Nice . Keep it up ...you are doing such great work here.
  18. Happy Birthday----and wishing you many more.
  19. wildsided-----really nice models and great effort pushing these out so quickly. Nice work indeed.
  20. Applause Applause Applause
  21. There are few joys in the world like the talk of a brand new computer. Smiles. (especially this many cores a churning).
  22. Its hard to imagine that each new iteration can top the one before it ---yet somehow you seem to make it happen. Awesome job Mark.......I look at all the details and can only dream of such precision and artistry.
  23. oh my ....that's amazing looking. Great job Rodger. Really fantastic !
  24. KGH---wow ----that's a cool scene indeed. your right --seeing the whole scene gives you the depth and size perspective well.
  25. kind of you Stian to share the textures --thanks.
