Top notch Tore!
In a world where digital animations are all looking more and more Pixar like, your look and style is most welcome.
In a way it is very "photo real", in that those really do look and move like stop motion puppets!
And then there is your texturing and lighting. All quite superb!
Bravo, encore, encore!

Fascinating, appealing visual puppet style! Excellent voice, music, sound effects, camera work, lighting!

All Expertly done! Kudos!

(and yes a very strange story...but you knew that)

I don't know what to say, except that is one of the best things I've seen this year. I loved it.

bravo... i love the lighting and almost everything else... great job!

for future projects you should consider rendering depth maps and adding DOF in post, a:m´s built in DOF needs way too much passes to get smooth or even smooth-ish... a smooth DOF blur would make your stop motion look even more believable. i guess i said something similar before in a comment about your previous project, but that was really the only thing that bothered my eye, so i had to say it again ;)

Hmmm...apparently no way to scale down inserted pictures?? Well at least it is visible! ;-)

How does 50% work for you?

In many ways the narrator did most of the story telling and we would have liked to have seen a bit more of the visuals to do the explaining for us.

I was thinking the same thing when watching this film and the one about the trapeze.

"A Victim of Duty" has just been selected as short of the week in the danish newspaper "Information" who is running something called "Kortfilmsbloggen" (The shortfilm blog). "Information" is one of the main newspapers in denmark. The tag line for Kortfilmsbloggen is: The worlds best shortfilms, every week :-)
