Heiner
I am mainly a modeller, but it seems as if i will have to animate this fella this time. Keep the fingers crossed ... Cheers, Heiner
agep
Haha! What a cute character. I like him! Please hurry up and animate him, I bet he will look hilarious (in a good way that is)
HomeSlice
That is a cute character. Is he for an egg commercial?
KnightHammer
Looks like an egg version of killer bean
Heiner
No, no egg commercial, completley different origin. The animation will follow soon with a bunch of other characters. I need to do a 4 min sales/pitch/sizzle (pick the term you like best) video, which should attract investors for a complete tv series. So i hope for two things: 1: That i am good and fast enough to make the video happen. 2: That there are still some Americans left, which did not put their money in immobiles or risky bank derivates, and have some spare bucks to invest em in such a project. Heiner
Here is a rendered Image, in the style, the customer wants. What do you think? Cheers, Heiner
jirard
Here is a rendered Image, in the style, the customer wants. What do you think? Cheers, Heiner I like the toon render the best. Nice looking character.
noewjook
I realy like this character .He has no arms so his hands could be used as fins.It is a character that has to move by flying.Flapping his hands make him to take of. dispite the lack of arms his hands are perfect. He is able to take things , even to play a piano.By flapping his hands he can fly like a bee. At the moment of take of you can make a poseslider for making his hands a little bit bigger during the flight. This is a very cute original character with a great potential. Heiner
And here is the enviroment after some post work in Project Dogwaffle and Gertrudis. How do you like it? Cheers Heiner
Kamikaze
You are coming along great on your project, nice scene too...
jakerupert
Very interesting scene and project! Do you use volumetric lights for the light beamsß Which toonrendersettings? And is this for Greman TV?
Heiner
Volumetric light ... hahaha The lights drove me crazy, so i faked them. Simple geometry with a simple alpha gradient. Worked perfect for me, is much faster than real volumetrics and more easy to handle! in the landscape picture there is no toon shading at all. The las picture has been post processed in PD Pro with Gertrudis. The whole project is about a possible tv series, but the people which initiated this are from the US. But i am also open for projects from Germany off course. Cheers Heiner

Heiner
Thanks David, yeah, i also have a good feeling, but, however, i am still working on a good rig, and i am not really happy with the solution i have so far. BTW in the project will be more characters like her, meaning, mor characters sharing basic shape. So i am trying to come up with something, which i can easily adopt for the other chars. Cheers Heiner
jirard
Still looking good Heiner. I like every model that you have posted so far. This stuff makes me want get a better understanding of the toon shader.

Heiner
So Folks, here comes Buster! After this char, there is just one more to go. After that, i will have to apply all the changes, the client will come up with. And then do the rigging and smartskinning. I allready did some tests, so i do not expect this to take too long. I will use the TSM 2. I have quite some experience with that, and its a reliable tool. Cheers Heiner
