Thanks for the info. If it doesn't help I'll let you know when I get back to it later tonight . Thanks again.

    STEP 6

Hey everybody! I'm on this step right now with my J.D. model. I notice that the picture for the Eye scale portion of this step and what's acctually there are different now. Is it alright to leave rotate_eyelid_bones_Z_axis (front) at 0%. And where are those other settings that aren't where they used to be? I mean in your pic it looks like it all lines up nicely with the eye lids, but mine isn't lined up like you first pic.
  3. This is looking great. For some reason it reminds me of a 3D mural. Nice!
  4. On the last shaded one you posted it looks like some of the bones are not within the mesh below the knee on the right leg. Could just be perspective though.
  5. It looks to me like some of the bones for the legs are outside the model. Is that ok? Dhar: I'll start rigging when I get some time. I'm suposed to be finishing a ani for TWO, but I can't even get to that this week. I've been really busy lately. *sigh*
  6. Looks good to me. Have to tried any of the hair shaders yet? How long is it taking t orender right now?
  7. Movement looks really good to me, but it seems a little slow.
  8. Holy crap that's alot of nurnies. That take way more patience than I have. Lookin' good!
  9. Looks pretty good to me so far. Maybe some wire shots as well would help for critiques, but it looks good from what I can see.
  10. This is coming along nicely. I'm glad your doing it like this. It's easy to follow and you pointing out stuff I would probably be having problems with when I start rigging
  11. Love it! it reminds of something from Dark Crystal or something like it.
  12. I think you should do both. Show the simple example and then show what can be done with it in a more complex example. I love that last one .
  13. Lots of detail! What are you using to paint the armor? 3DPainter still, or another program?
  14. I would break the splines around the area and respline it *shrug* -- I think
  15. Yeah I know what your saying about wanting your character to look like "unmistakably Animation:MASTER!"-ish. All I know is I want to go back and rework my J.D. model with more definition. I wish my first character model was as good as yours is. I would definatly be a god of modeling by now, haha.
  16. It does seem a little strangs that the upper torso has alot of detail (including the arms), and the rest down has no difinition. I would go on way or the other with this I think. I like the over all shape though. And I love the hands an arms.
  17. Don't procrastinate! I love what you got so far. I want to see it finished!
  18. Wow, all I can say is I hope one day I can make a scene that comes close to this. Great!
  19. Make sure Mirror Mode isn't active when you make hooks. I get this exact same thing happening to me when I have Mirror Mode on.
  20. Ugh! I'm sick of all these people modeling these awesome models on their first time modeling a character! . I loved this show. He looks great.
  21. I'm with Mike. Can't you suck at something you make , haha. Lovin' it!
  22. Yeah I was so proud of my first models until I saw the stuff some of these "beginners" are doing, haha. Great job so far.
  23. One of these days, I swear, when I have some time, I am really going to go through these rigging tutorials. I really want to learn to rig. It seems the only paying jobs you can get is if you can model and rig a character. Thanks for the info. It sounds like that makes it even easier to setup. You guys do excellent work.
