  1. It has been a while since I posted anything. Work continues, and with school starting next week for Eli, I hope that I will have more time during the week to work on things. Here is the cast of the Coffee Shop Disaster. All the characters have a rig in them. Mack is re rigging a few characters with the new rig. Chris is hard at work with the animatics. I am building the scene around the characters and fine tuning them once the rigs are installed. When we started this endeavor I thought we could knock it out quickly. I was wrong. It is amazing how much goes into a short. I admire those here on the forum who had a dream or idea and completed an animation! Steve
  2. Great looking character.
  3. Emblem looks spot on. Jeff great work
  4. Jeff Ok? They look great. She looks great! Steve
  5. Laurie is the main character in the Coffee Shop Disaster. After talking with Chris we agreed on the look should change from the old Laurie to a new one. I used several models to combine together and she is coming along.. I have re weighted from the hips up through the chest and shoulder and neck. I am currently weighting the face and putting face poses together. I hope to have some shots of her next week with hair as well. Steve
  6. Started worked on movement already. Found the hip joint is just not working as I have it weighted. The rear end deforms incorrectly and any roll in the knee makes the groin quite unbelievable. So I will up load some movement to let you see the rig in action. The hand is another area of concern.
  7. I switched the leg and added a little weight as he leaned into the building.
  8. Were you able to get the render to work? By the way nice model/character.
  9. Hey Robert excellent suggestions as always. I will switch them as you suggested and re upload. main thing I was doing was testing the rig Steve
  10. Thought I would pose Kurt in a tougher pose. I am very happy with the shoulder, arms and legs. The tweaking will have to come in the hip, mainly in the front and the hands. The hands were the worst of all the auto placement. Those will take a while.
  11. In Megamind I believe there is a scene of him changing I will have to get out that bluray
  12. I added the 2008 rig to Kurt tonight and with no weighting he came out pretty good. Lots of tweaking to do but he can be used on the set of Coffee shop now.
  13. Submitted. far less than what I wanted to complete.
  14. Vance Excellent start! Made me want to know what was next! Steve
  15. It ended up being a material that had ambiance of 100. So turned off the mat r isl ambiance and got darkness. Steve
  16. Trying to light my scene for the image and having an issue. I have opened a chor, deleted all the lights and ground. I want the scene to be dark. So when I import the set into the chor it is lit yet I have deleted all the lights out of the chor? Steve
  17. Happy Birthday
  18. Working 10-12 hour days cuts into getting anything done on our projects. Any way I was thinking there was a park bench besides Myron excellent bench some where on the forum.

  21. Finally got the new building finished.
  22. My nephew, a graphic artist, has been on the freelance gig and finally had to take a job for real. I was showing him your work and he was impressed and understands what you are talking about!! Wonderful stuff Mark! Steve
  23. I saw 4k raw video being edited on a surface pro. Now would I want to try to edit video that way, no. But it shows the power. As a user of both the ipad and surface both are very useful. but I have a very heavy laptop and the new surface appeals to me . One thing I am thinking about is sound editing. Surface has the windows software audio editing. It would be nice to use the surface and record the voice overs and edit them as they are recorded by something other than the big laptop I have. Plus for larger screen sizes the surface has an HDMI out adapter for large screen and USB for keyboard and mouse that could be used in the office environment. Steve
