About the Cinematic Submarine Shot
Shelton replied to robcat2075's topic in The Cinematic Submarine Shot
Very cool start! -
that is right David, the top is AO. Still trying to get the look of it with SSAO

http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showforum=184 here you go Jeff forgot to put the link in Steve
-
That is nice Jeff. There is a section for donation.

I got the hair pretty much like I want it. I wish AO did not take so long to render as I loved the look it creates. I have also been playing with SSAO. So much faster but still not achieving the feel of AO.

After several days, well 3 weeks, of frustration Laurie's hair is in place. I groomed the hair in a relationship. I now have a pose slider for her hair so I can re-groom the hair to a different style. Steve

Jeff You mentioned in Roger's thread about your settings. You have AO turned on with a blue settings. What values do you have under AO? Also you mentioned you have SSS on all groups turned on, if you were to have a group intersect with another what is the effect created? Steve

David Thank you for showing this. I will have to watch it about 1000 times to get it. This was what Robert was talking about. Rodney Thank you Rodney! I hope that this fall we will be to show some things for all the hard work. Each one of the characters has alot more weighting and rigging to go! Smart skins are good by the way! Steve

Got mine as well!

I was trying to link a null to a pose slider. Robert came up with a fix but wanted to know if you had another idea.
-
Thanks David. If you have some time, I have some questions on rigging, weighting and nulls.
-
Thanks Robert! When we get in Cupids I have another 11 or so ready to go

It has been a while since I posted anything. Work continues, and with school starting next week for Eli, I hope that I will have more time during the week to work on things. Here is the cast of the Coffee Shop Disaster. All the characters have a rig in them. Mack is re rigging a few characters with the new rig. Chris is hard at work with the animatics. I am building the scene around the characters and fine tuning them once the rigs are installed. When we started this endeavor I thought we could knock it out quickly. I was wrong. It is amazing how much goes into a short. I admire those here on the forum who had a dream or idea and completed an animation! Steve

Great looking character.

Emblem looks spot on. Jeff great work

Jeff Ok? They look great. She looks great! Steve

Laurie is the main character in the Coffee Shop Disaster. After talking with Chris we agreed on the look should change from the old Laurie to a new one. I used several models to combine together and she is coming along.. I have re weighted from the hips up through the chest and shoulder and neck. I am currently weighting the face and putting face poses together. I hope to have some shots of her next week with hair as well. Steve

Started worked on movement already. Found the hip joint is just not working as I have it weighted. The rear end deforms incorrectly and any roll in the knee makes the groin quite unbelievable. So I will up load some movement to let you see the rig in action. The hand is another area of concern.

Were you able to get the render to work? By the way nice model/character.
-
Hey Robert excellent suggestions as always. I will switch them as you suggested and re upload. main thing I was doing was testing the rig Steve
-
Thought I would pose Kurt in a tougher pose. I am very happy with the shoulder, arms and legs. The tweaking will have to come in the hip, mainly in the front and the hands. The hands were the worst of all the auto placement. Those will take a while.
-
In Megamind I believe there is a scene of him changing I will have to get out that bluray
-
I added the 2008 rig to Kurt tonight and with no weighting he came out pretty good. Lots of tweaking to do but he can be used on the set of Coffee shop now.
