  1. It has been a few days since I have had a chance to post anything. Work has been over the top and to relieve some stress I have been modeling again. here is the new character, Natalie's business suit. I am trying to use Caroline's dressme plugin. Steve
  2. Great job Robert and thanks for handling the contest. Thanks to hash as well for the prize. Congrats to the winners.
  3. It is a coat of Arms I found on the internet and I modified it for the shirt.
  4. Stone is ready for the big surprise with the blindfold in place
  5. Rigged wing and will make adjustments but so far ok
  6. Thanks Nancy, David and Rodney. I have been working on all the rigs of the characters and realized I had never finished the wings. Righing the wings now.
  7. 2008 rig crashed each time I tried to do the mirror bones. Saucy rig worked ok Here is Aries rigged with saucy rig with no weighting. Steve
  8. I am trying to mirror bone plugin but every time I run it AM crashes. Anyone else have any issues. Steve
  9. While rigging for the Coffee Shop Disaster I ran across a character I had done for Cupid's Sick Day. I placed the shield and sword of Aries with the character that will become Aries, Cupid's neighbor.
  10. I have finally got the saucy rig installed and Jennifer is ready to be apart of the Coffee Shop. Lots of cleanup on her and then hair and makeup. Steve
  11. Ok well after many restarts I have completed the Brent Model. Well the rig is in place and will have to wait. Brent is modeled after a friend of mine who was the local Apple store manager. Steve
  12. Awesome. When you decide about pockets let me know the procedure. Very interested in that
  13. I will, Robert and thanks. I am out of town now and will send him Monday Steve
  14. Brent is Rigged but I noticed that the C/F/A did not work as expected. When I was weighting I noticed the cps were off .3. I checked the center spline and it was on 0 of the x axis. So I am puzzled about what happened. My have to re rig and C/F/A again. the head is correct. Any way here is Brent and I am happy with the beard and shaved head. Also Angie with the poodle. Steve
  15. Lesson Learned I have always been an ATI/AMD guy. I have purchased AMD processors through the years since you could get a lot of bang for the buck. I have always purchased ATI and now AMD graphics cards as they seem to use the hardware more efficiently. Until now. The last two computers I have purchased have been Intel I7. The Alienware is still a very fast computer. It was the top of the line second generation Intel and can render almost as fast as my new one. The new machine is fast! Compared to my AMD systems from 2 years ago, they out render by more than 30% than my FX 8350 and 9500 AMD chips. And now I have purchased a NVIDIA GEforce 960. I had weird onscreen render issues with my R9 AMD graphic cards for several months with AM. For example the bones were not rendering correctly on screen. Or they would be unexpected colors or just weird issues. I have installed the 960 and happy to say no more issues in real time rendering. And it runs quieter than my AMD R9. Never be afraid to try something new and dont do something just because that is the way you always have done something. This applies to a lot of things in life, but even in AM. I was able to build a good looking model quickly this past week because I decided to re use parts and modify them instead of modeling from scratch. Before this I always felt I had to model the whole thing from start to finish. I was able to re use the feet from one model, the legs from another, the chest and shoulder from another and the arms and hands from yet another. I took the basic head from one model, the nose from another the lips from another and the eyes and eye socket from one more. In one evening I had Kira built. Of course I modified all the parts to create Kira. I guess you could say I was a Dr. Frankenstein this past week. It is funny how things in life can change your outlook. Steve
  16. Bertram is looking great David. Really looking forward to the next steps Steve
  17. Kira has come along way very rapidly. I have only the fingers, shoulder and hips to weight and I will be ready to add hair and the final face rig after that. Steve
  18. Thank you Robert and Nancy! That worked! Also I found the mesh was off on the left side by more than .3 and the weighting was not working. re ran C/F/A and tested mirror bones and it worked some times and then I would have to save come out of the project and then reload and the weighting would be there. Thanks again Steve may be a little bug that needs to be reported?
