  1. Dumb question here. I thought the mirror bones also mirrored weights. Am I wrong about this? Steve
  2. Well in my discover of Larry I found Kira as well. She has the new saucy rig installed and ready to go. She is a compilation of several figures plus a new head. Steve
  3. I have found a character I modeled in 2007 when there was a super hero contest I think. I never rigged the character because, well I could not rig or was afraid of rigging. I pulled it from a back up and rigged him with the Saucy rig tonight. There is no weighting on the model but I am happy with the placement. He will get cleaned up and placed in the shorts. Introducing Larry Steve
  4. Once I finish the final two characters, I will start on face rigs. Looking forward to adding a "soul" to the characters. Thanks guys for the nice comments Steve
  5. That is a wonderful shot!! I love the lighting and of course all the modeling. Excellent Steve
  6. I have now completed 13 characters. Rigs are installed and some weighting is done. Most have no weighting applied but happy with the placement of the rig. The beauty of all the rigs (squetch, 2008, saucy, lite) is to have a geom (where the bones go model saved), and a saved model of the installed rig. That way if you find a bone out of place or not bending right, simply re run the install process after making corrections to the geom model. I have two more characters to complete for the coffee shop disaster short. I have about 6-7 more characters to complete but they will be in the next short and I will leave their rigs alone for now. Thanks for looking Steve
  7. Thanks Will. I will have another one tigged tonight
  8. Here is a pic of the 5 new rigged characters with the Saucy Rig There is no weighting at all on the new rigged character. Laurie has Mark's 2008 rig. I have about 5 more I need to install the rig and it only takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to get the rig into place and installed. Steve
  9. I will look at that Robert. Thanks! I have had a good week. I have rigged or rerigged 5 characters. No weighting as of yet but the rig is installed. With each character that I rig it goes faster and faster and I learn more about modeling in regards to the rig. I will post a group shot of the five later today. Steve
  10. I have been working with the Saucy Rig this week and have been able to get several new characters rigged. Here is Frank with the rig in place but not installed.
  11. Thanks Rodney All those things help in the realtime world and I use them. But from the youtube video the hair and all were rendered in realtime. That would be cool. I thought you had stumble across something that I was not aware of. I figured out my rendering issues. Well to some degree. I had turned on SSS and did not realize I was rendering with it on. For whatever reason it was throwing a wrench in the gears. So here is a shot of the final position of arms, hand and shoulders of the three. Along with the rendering issues I was able to correct Laurie's hair issue.. Steve
  12. Rodney how do you adjust? Are you talking density?
  13. That would be awesome on the fur to tender in realtime and the light and shadows. Pretty cool
  14. https://youtu.be/hnFSVx7NhmM Pretty cool
  15. All these characters are rigged but going to re do them since i have remodeled the upper bodies. Now i can incorporate the face rig as well Thanks David!
  16. Clean up has begun on all the characters. Stone has received arm and hand rebuild as well as the leg area reworked Conner has received arm and shoulder rebuild Angie has received hand sizing and body sizing Laurie will receive new hair as each new version of her I have to redo the action pose of her hair. I am going to remove her pose hair and groom hair into place. Alot of rendering issues. One character render fine in one setting but all the other characters will have issue. I will change settings and bring one or two into workable renders and then the others will have issues. Rigging continues. Getting ready to install three rigs this week and next. I will be on vacation in a couple of weeks and hope to use some of that time to complete these four.
  17. Robert i will look at that issue this afternoon. Good catch.
  18. While we are looking at the set and issues with netrender, I have been going through the models the last couple of nights and getting them ready for the street scene or the end scene. There is a "lot" of things to do!! Here is a shot of Tony with his hot dog cart and will be on the sidewalk. Steve
  19. I love animated movies. And in every movie there is a scene that captures me. I was rewatching The Croods tonight and the top of the tree scene captured me.
