All these characters are rigged but going to re do them since i have remodeled the upper bodies. Now i can incorporate the face rig as well Thanks David!

Clean up has begun on all the characters. Stone has received arm and hand rebuild as well as the leg area reworked Conner has received arm and shoulder rebuild Angie has received hand sizing and body sizing Laurie will receive new hair as each new version of her I have to redo the action pose of her hair. I am going to remove her pose hair and groom hair into place. Alot of rendering issues. One character render fine in one setting but all the other characters will have issue. I will change settings and bring one or two into workable renders and then the others will have issues. Rigging continues. Getting ready to install three rigs this week and next. I will be on vacation in a couple of weeks and hope to use some of that time to complete these four.

While we are looking at the set and issues with netrender, I have been going through the models the last couple of nights and getting them ready for the street scene or the end scene. There is a "lot" of things to do!! Here is a shot of Tony with his hot dog cart and will be on the sidewalk. Steve

I love animated movies. And in every movie there is a scene that captures me. I was rewatching The Croods tonight and the top of the tree scene captured me.

As we begin rendering scenes we are having issues with net render. All the buildings and props are set as action objects, the ability to turn on and off the objects with a pose. The objects render fine in AM but when we send the project to the netrender farm none of the objects render. We also notice that the time to load the files on the net render slaves are way to fast for the size of the project. This is a huge problem. As soon as net render is involved then no rendering of the set is possible. Steve

I really like this. I could use something along this lines later. Thank you

Excellent stuff David. The room looks great!!

Thanks, the studio is really my theater room converted temp until we get the voices done. I have contracted the local sheet metal union to build me a light weight sound proof area. I saw a mechanical room in a high rise that they had recently sound proofed, it was incredible. And with the way they can bend light weight metal into a strong wall it will be interesting to see what they come up with. The walls will have the backing board and the walls will be perforated and then 2" of sound foam. Basically it will wrap around the artist as they read their lines. I have a eight foot by 7 area off the back of the theater room that will house this feature. Right now it is housing the render farm. I have a climate controlled shop in the back that will soon become a host for my render farm. As my son's ability and talent, music wise, evolves the "studio will evolve into a music studio I am sure. Steve

I finally got the new machine stable. I loaded AM and check it on the About Screen what does 18lAVX mean? Of course 18l is the version but what is AVX? Advanced Vector Extensions, is this better than the SSE4 Steve

X99 chipset, with a I7 5930 6 core 2011 v3 processor 3.5ghz oc with corsair 110i liquid cooler, corsair vengeance oc 16gb ddr4 ram, ssd drives, with amd r9 270 display adapter. With this setup i have had to buy all new components as the motherboard is very particular. I will post the teapot render later tonight. Edit: I have replaced the AMD R9 with a NVIDIA 960ti

Planning works. Make sure you plan for issues. I have been down for a few days. On a whim and maybe a little craziness i bought parts to build a new computer. I have had them sitting to side waiting on some time. The other day i tried to start AM and my license was up. So i started scrambling to get the new machine going. Well since i did not make a plan, i had to spend more than i was wanting. Anyway. Here is a shot on Win 7 rating. Bought a lot of nice things. Hoping to see a render test tonight
