  1. Here's my tantalizing bit, and it's probably the last most of you will see of this until the final project. This is my WIP of an Aliens style motion tracker. I need crits and comments. Zachary T.
  2. Ok, now to the 3D part, please.... lol
  3. In the user group there is a way too upload files. Click files and then add, or something. It's there.
  4. I say keep it mostly secret!! I'll strategically contribute here and there in order to see what's going on !!! lol Zackt.
  5. Here's an updated shot on the dictionary. I'll look into this motion tracker, and if you have any more details (and if I can find the time,) I'd love to model the gun. Zackt.
  6. Here's an image, tell me what you think. I'll send you a link soon. List some gizmos, I'll do as many as I can. Zackt.
  7. hmmm... what's a motion tracker?
  8. I'm done with the dictionary except for rigging, I'm thinking that some good smartskinnin would allow for good paper deformation, but I am utterly confused. I have 5 decals, all 24 bit Tga's. I'll zip them up and give you a url later (when I'm at home). So some questions: 1) any suggestions for paper deformation (or am I even responsible for this?) 2) anything else you need modeled (or textured?) Zackt.
  9. What's your modeling technique?
  10. Well maybe now But when this thread was started he didn't know what a 5 pointer was . It's all good. Zackt.
  11. I got that It's just a character devoid of any shape at all. You're getting this stuff down.
  12. Here's the bullet form -good overall extremely basic shape -arms: higher, more shape and muscle -Torso: look at human anatomy textbook pictures, or go to fineart.sk. Add more musculature, does not need to be Nerazzi's superhero muscle style, but a little more shape would be good.
  13. Consider me in! Off I go to model a dictionary... I'll post updates soon.
  14. You have some modelling skills! I want a tut! I want a tut! Zackt.
  15. Love that stuff. You've got to make a car modeling tut, your car is so awesome. btw, any info you have on this one:http://www.murc13.homestead.com/files/pc6.jpg Zackt. *kisses toes of almighty starving4artist*
  16. As much as this tut is ideal for seeing that modeling in A:M is not impossible, I do not believe this is the best way to model later on (scratch that, it's one of the worst ways to make a really detailed, animatable model) I highly suggest the Colin tutorials, they show a way of modeling that is muchbetter for making a detailed animatable model. No offense to the creator of the tutorial! I think it's great at first, but this is not the way to go later on. Zackt.
  17. My suggestion for the future is to make a quick action which makes his eyes blink at (seemingly) random intervals. This would give him some good character. And I think his face could use some work animation wise, for example he should smirk and smile more often. I know it's extremely limited time wise, but I think a few minor changes would just make it so much better. Really great stuff. Zachary Taich p.s. This animation is already 10,000,000 times better than anything I could ever make so take my constructive criticism with a grain of salt.
  18. smaller lips, white shiny teeth and a big smile would make this a million times better (and that saying a lot considering how good it already is). You could just close her mouth for starters. Her neck is bothering me a bit too, I suggest some more solid reference of female necks. Zackt.
  19. This is your first model? I QUIT!!! Just kidding, really great work.
  20. I think I feel a tear coming to my eye with that sage like advice. How many lights were used for this scene?
  21. I would suggest breaking this up into smaller, easier to digest pieces. Examples: News -news About -Plot summary -Estimated completion date -any other vital stats -FAQ Contact -Give contact information /link to faq Cast and Crew -Film makers -Talent Behind the Scenes -Gallery -Cast Interviews /link to FAQ /link to about Just make it something people can browse through in an exceedingly logical way. Great job so far, I'm glad to see your on such a role. Zackt.
  22. I like it! Very nice style. Lots of character. It doesn't seem like you've done texturing yet, and even it wasn't your original plan, I would love to see at least one rendering with some v11 Hair.
  23. You always have such beautiful renders. What's your secret? Something about the lighting, reflections, and colors always seems just right. Beautiful stuff, even if it is a failed experiment.
  24. The robot's look small because of the camera placement. The camera seems to be shoved in a small box with the models. Maybe you could increase the scale of everything around it and lower the camera (pointing up of course).
  25. Next, learn to model by laying splines. That's where you can learn how to make characters that have a lot of versatility. Check this out: http://www.colins-loft.net/tutorials.html.
