1. Well prove me wrong! Got any updates?
2. Do you have a mirror bones plugin? Looks like good mechanical modeling, which fits perfectly for the image contest theme.
3. I disagree slightly, It looks really great for a first model but there are some things to work on. One, the model has tons of creases caused by too many splines. Second, the model is assymetrical, use the copy/flip/attach tool. Third, the eye holes are bigger than his eyes and you can see behind his head. As I said it looks really good and with a few tweaks it will be awesome.
4. Got a render? My initial comments would be that it looks pretty good. There may be some creases because of the high density of splines and some of the directions of splines. Looks great for a 1st model.
5. This is gonna be awesome when it's done.

The splinage looks pretty good overall but you'll do yourself a favor by taking out about half those splines. Anything that does not effect the overall shape, when taken out will make the model a lot smoother. Also on the cd under Data>Materials(?)>Geometry>Porcelain.mat there is the porcelain material that smooths out a lot of problems. One of the main places to remove splines is in the nose/lips/chin area, I count somewhere along the lines (no pun intended) of 13 vertical splines I think 5, or maybe even 3 would do the job (particularly on the chin). Also on the nose on the big part (that is the scientific term ) there are several horizontal splines that seem to affect the general shape in no way. There may also be too many forehead splines. Sorry if it sounds like I'm ripping it to shreds... You've got a great model there. I'm fairly new to this so take my advice with a grain of salt.

It's generally easier to interpret with a shaded and wireframe. That would be easier to see.

can we see a wireframe? Try turning down the specularity a bit, this won't effect the smoothness but it will make more realistic skin. Welcome to the forums. I'm only 14.
10. I've been downloading for about 2 hours so far and I'm 30% done. Pretty sluggish... And I may have to shutdown. Maybe you should ask if someone with the bandwidth available would be willing to mirror it for you.
11. What technical problems? If it has to do with hash then by all means email them because they need your quality short to get out there.
12. Technical Problems!!! I say no! get back on your feet! you can do it! WHY?!?!?! good luck zack
13. The inside texture in his mouth just doesn't do it for me. Maybe you could darken it a bit? How's the ship coming?
14. you've got to share at least some of how you do this
15. I'm sorry to say this but your chances are very low of getting someone to do this without pay. Each car made in animation master takes MANY hours to model
16.
Ahhh!!! Revelatory perturbations. Bobs your uncle and no porkies!
huh?
17. That looks awesome. I picture that as a pretty bumpy ride.
18. Why'd you have to render in... ...Bryce.
19. Near his toe there is a basic rule of splines being broken, and that is: 2 splines per CP. You could have some really ugly creases later.
