  1. Move his pupils outwards, I know you're told to do it differently, but in this case you're going to want to have just a plain cirle. It's looking too wierd.
  2. Clay 2.0 - Now with Syphilus!! Sorry for the tasteless humor
  3. Scratch the music, And add a little bit of dialogue and sound effects. Really funny. It's great.
  4. I use to have trouble using the stitch tool for bevels and such, because the "stitch" would attach straight to the closest cp sometimes. The solution is simple. Just scale everything up. If this isn't clear I'd be glad to clarify it for you. Either ask on this thread or just email me.
  5. More cool updates!!! please check it out and tell me what you think. Time left: 83 days, 18 hours, 37 minutes, 22 seconds.
  6. This may have been answered already, but what are the advantages of having two bones per CP? Why not just one? I'm not very experienced with rigging so I'm very curious about this. Also: Does it make it tedious to animate? I imagine picking the right bone each time could be a pain in the neck. Great job, that character has a lot of personality, and I wish you best of luck on this whole project. Zack T.
  7. I've heard that the fewer splines you have the better, but look at these models makes me think differently... The highres is 1000 times better. Looks cool.
  8. Looks good. The first pic made me worry about some serious creasing. I guess it was just lighting and toon render.
  9. I'm not in San Francisco per se... I live in the Bay Area, Silicon Valley. But Pixar and PDI are both located in the Bay Area, and not San Francisco, so I guess I am in the right place . Maybe in a year there will be an AMSF club. Victor could come! Thanks for the comments and support. Now I have to work on mechanizing this thing.
  10. I did what you asked. Check out the thread for more. Until then check out this pic. Zachary Taich -------------------------------------------------------------- "Representin' Hash"
  11. I've attached an image of the updated mouth. I want to close it eventually. I need help. He still looks like a puffer fish. Aaaah... I am the worlds slowest, and worst modeller. Zachary Taich
  12. Thanks yah, my mouth has been giving me problems. I actually have done stuff since then, but It still needs work. I just have so much trouble shaping lips. Zachary Taich
  13. Rodney, The reason people don't use them is not because of a bug while animating. It means that while animating you will ahve to be constantly adjusting the bias. So... Oooh, I don't know how to explain this. The rule of the thumb is that if you've got a part of the model thats got to deform in animation then you shouldn't use bias on it. It will just pop and crap. For this type of thing biases are perfect great job. The render looks good (except for the default ground plane and lighting).
  14. Any tips on the mouth. I think my topology is really awful...
  15. And putting it under pressure...
  16. I love it. I haven't tried leaves yet. But I think it's more fun without!
  17. Come on Everyone 20 Images!!!!!!!!! I want this thing free!!!!!!! I'll post at least 5 (lol) Marcel, great plugin. Maybe you can make it 15 pictures?
  18. Thanks. I'm embarassed to show this to fellow A:Mers cause they will recognize the millions of spline sins I commited. Please look at the latest topology and critique the hell out of it please. I'd like my entry to kick ss, even if I don't win. Zachary Taich
  19. Just informing you all that I've joined the CGTalk Machineflesh Challenge. You can find the thread at http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=130145 I don't think I have a chance of winning... but if I get a single vote I'd be happy. Check it out. I highly encourage others to try it out. It's a 3 month challenge and it's a great way to learn, show off your skills, and represent A:M in the larger CG community. Zachary Taich
  20. Looks actually like you have SSS. Great job. I wouldn't push it and say realistic though... Merely "Awesome/toonish style" Zachary Taich
  21. Can you show us the face wireframe? I think the character needs a lil bit of work.
  22. Awesome, nothing more is neccesary to say. Please post updates. I live for updayes on this project.
