Dude...I wish I know how to rig with constraints...
-
you can import two models into an action, but I forgot how...I suggest just doing it in the choreography
-
I watched the last one and I think that the head should show strain trying to pick up the box
-
nope! Just did it classical way...although you can mimic beveling by creating a peaked square with two points per corner as usual and then tweaking bias...then you extrude once and scale larger, then extrude all the way down for the sides..then extrude again scaling smaller, then close up the sides..only problem is that the bevel really only applies to half of the edges

Hmmm..let me just post up the model file by iteslf...when you save it make sure in the drop down that shows up and, by default, says ".txt or text file" change it to" all files"..then save it with a .mdl at the end of it... scopebot.mdl

Alright guys...just started creating my UFO..not even done modeling it. I just did this short animation test for the platform action...I'm also thinking of a long "slide" coming out of the disc that comes down... EDIT: by the way, the little square is just part of the real time animation..it's the "translate only" bone that moves the platform UFOtest_1.mov

if you're a bit more specific I may be able to help you...just save the zip folder...then wherever you saved it "extract" the file to wherever you want to and open it up in A:M from there

now have bug crawling between his teeth, and mold coming out of his ears! Maggots oozing out of his eyes, snakes wriggling through his mouth! Lol..just kidding..lighting is tough...right now you're on your way to a great scene..just keep at it..other than that, the tears in the wings are great
-
hmmm..this is just a test and won't apply to the movie at all..I know that he's looking at the cam like he shouldn't, but mainly this test was for fluent and graceful movements
-
You heard it right..it'll be a long time before it's done, because of school and stuff, but this is the thread that'll be used throughout the creation of the film...I'm also doing some animation excersises to get used to non-linear animation..I'm not going to rush into this. Without further ado, I give you the first clip, a two second snipped of the guy looking around. The reason why I made this is I'm focusing on small details right now. Please type up some critiques testlookaround.mov

It's a pretty easy model to manipulate..its' for those people who just want to fool around with models for the heck of it... Robot_Model.zip

You'll come up with something...I actually just thought of this idea in my head while surfing the forums (it's not based off anything) and I didn't even take the time to make concept drawings..haha. And it turned out pretty good. So just brainstorm and you'll think of something

Alright..rendered out a shady of brow poses.... browposes.mov
-
Making poses right now...

Here, I put it in a zippy...check it out! Brow_testing.zip

Hey guys...I'm still tweaking up the rig and added bones to each spline ring of the brows...(it's not very spline-dense)...I rendered an animation of it, but a message came up in the forums saying that i cannot upload a .mov file encoded Sorenson 3....what's the size limit of an attachment? Anyways...here it is in action (trust me, this "expression" isn't going to be in the short I'm making lol)
-
Ah, yes...I see what you mean...I just wanted exaggerated movement during the strolling (which is a principle in animation), but I'll try your idea when I find the time to test out the stroll again..thanks!
-
You can also achieve that effect in real life by hooking up your video cam to the TV and looking at yourself in it...it keeps on going and going
-
do you have any bump maps on there? That would have given it more of the 3D look..other than that it is great! Probably going to be in the top 4!
-
Hey Guys..I got this guy's direct phone number and he said he'd come and pose for a fashion session! Look at the result
-
Made a test animation of him strolling along at an average speed... testroll.mov
-
...hey guys...just made a new pose and it turned out great: (it's for when he's moving around (fast traveling)

Transitioning from one action to another certainly is a tough job...and that's what this guy has accomplished. Good job!
