Hi Rich
That sounds like a good idea. Having a set to work with would be great. I wish would could have more sets, space scene, landscapes, indoor sets to name a few.

looks great so far Sharky. I do have a few suggestions. Adding a moulding to the corners of the building, like the window and door, to break up the textures. And lightening the trim color of the roof to match the faded look of the shingles. Keep up the good work.
Nice tree. The animation looks good too. Did you animate it in an action or choreography? If you did it in the choreography, animated it in an action so you can set it to repeat it in the choreography.
How are you achieving your volumetrics? It looks as though you used a mesh to emit mist/dust. Try using a series of klieg lights with volumetrics turned on in its properties. Adjusting the falloff and intensity of the light to get the look you want.
p.s. Nice set.
Cool bug. I don't thing you should need too much smartskin on it. The wings should flap flat, no need for smartskin and the legs are skinny enough that you probably won't notice.
To add to everyone else's comments, making the camera roll as it is going through the loops would look better. Thom disappears as though you went into a first person view and if that is the case Thom would be on his head at the top of the loop. Seeing the ground plane roll up to the top of the screen as though he's upside down would look cool. Great job so far. Keep at it.
Ah it's Pierre the poodle.
I think the fur needs a little kinkiness added to it with a little more stiffness to make it puffier. And a french style mustache for whiskers. Other than that he looks goods.
