  1. Check out this thread. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5635 You can download the project file here to use with the treez plug-in. http://johnl.inform.net/pages/treeswithleaves.htm
  2. Yes it is frizzy. That was all done with pose sliders. This model is designed to copy and paste into another model that you want to have hair. I added the slider for the kinkyness. length and color, planning to add more, still working on the hair poses, so you can have different hair styles. This model uses one hair material, so if you have a couple of characters with the hair implant, you change all the settings with the sliders without effecting the base hair material and the other models. Its alot easier to adjust the settings with a slider than trying to change it in the PWS. The hair poses are the toughest thing to do.
  3. Looks great. The power of bump maps can be pretty amazing. Can't wait to see more.
  4. Started working on a new slider model that has hair poses. You'll be able to change color, length and slide to different hair styles. It's still in the early stages, but I thought I'd show you to see what you think. I plan on adding a slider for a ponytail too. I used Jane from the cd for my test subject. Any comments and suggestions will be appreciated.
  5. I did notice something the more I looked at it. The broken branch in front of the nest looks like it's not closed off or it has the same material as the branches. I think I it would look better with a different texture. And how did you do the texture for the tree, image map, materials or something else?
  6. Just hope your teacher doesn't find out.
  7. He wasn't supposed to tell anyone I help him with his homework. Didn't know how to bring up the plug-in on a mac. Thought it would have been the same.
  8. Does anyone know how to use the terrain plug-in for mac?
  9. Right click in an empty space in the modeling window. click plug-ins/wizard/terrain. That will open the plug-in, then there is a load button. you can load the image there.
  10. http://members.lycos.co.uk/toonnation/ This is the link to the plug-in. Install it in the hxt folder under the version of am you are using.
  11. Don't know how tall or big to make the mountain. but the plug-in works.
  12. Do you have the terrain plug-in from toonnation? You can load the image into the plug-in and generate a mesh. I beleive there is a mac version.
  13. Not much to say but AWESOME!!! Looking forward to seeing more.
  14. Heres a quick render for you John.
  15. When I think it's done I post it for download as an add-on to the trees with leaves project. Still have a few things to work out. I'll see what I can do John.
  16. Here's a test for non-toon render. added an image for the petals and gave the stem some texture.
  17. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4556&st=0#
  18. Go to page 1 of this thread and you can download it there. There is a project file there too.
  19. What version are you running. And did you download the plug-in.
  20. It needs a little reflection, the shape looks good. And diamonds don't have color to them.
  21. The one with less patch count to me looks alot better. The tree is looking awesome. The step to me looks like they need to be a different color, sidewalk color maybe. Just the step not the riser. The sky lighting looks great. Keep it up and you'll have a masterpiece.
  22. Thanks Bill for the help, it worked like a charm. I simplified it into one slider, but I might change that. Here's the test mov.
  23. That's because I was changing the length and thick, and yes it can be smoother.
  24. Oh and I tried to get them to collide with the glass but you need dynamics turned on which then you can't animate them. And add 6 to 8 control point for the hair.
  25. First turn hair dynamics off. Create new pose/percentage. In the action window go into hair grooming mode, and just move the hair guides around at different position on the slider. For the hair color you need to go into the timeline and at about 80% change the color to pink.
