  1. http://members.lycos.co.uk/toonnation/ This is the link to the plug-in. Install it in the hxt folder under the version of am you are using.
  2. Don't know how tall or big to make the mountain. but the plug-in works.
  3. Do you have the terrain plug-in from toonnation? You can load the image into the plug-in and generate a mesh. I beleive there is a mac version.
  4. Not much to say but AWESOME!!! Looking forward to seeing more.
  5. When I think it's done I post it for download as an add-on to the trees with leaves project. Still have a few things to work out. I'll see what I can do John.
  6. Here's a test for non-toon render. added an image for the petals and gave the stem some texture.
  7. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4556&st=0#
  8. Go to page 1 of this thread and you can download it there. There is a project file there too.
  9. What version are you running. And did you download the plug-in.
  10. It needs a little reflection, the shape looks good. And diamonds don't have color to them.
  11. The one with less patch count to me looks alot better. The tree is looking awesome. The step to me looks like they need to be a different color, sidewalk color maybe. Just the step not the riser. The sky lighting looks great. Keep it up and you'll have a masterpiece.
  12. Thanks Bill for the help, it worked like a charm. I simplified it into one slider, but I might change that. Here's the test mov.
  13. That's because I was changing the length and thick, and yes it can be smoother.
  14. Oh and I tried to get them to collide with the glass but you need dynamics turned on which then you can't animate them. And add 6 to 8 control point for the hair.
  15. First turn hair dynamics off. Create new pose/percentage. In the action window go into hair grooming mode, and just move the hair guides around at different position on the slider. For the hair color you need to go into the timeline and at about 80% change the color to pink.
  16. Looks real good. The fog could be toned down alittle though. For a spooky forest it seems abit bright. I,ve always wanted to do a scene like that. Keep up the good work.
  17. Is this the look your looking for? Done with a pose slider on the hair guides. You could pull the hair guides to one side of the globe and have a bone for the center ball pointing in that direction and use an aim at constraint on a hand to have it follow.
  18. Thanks johnl, but I don't think I qualify as an expert. I'm sure there are alot of people on the list that could do better than me.
  19. Here's an update with new sliders. Still need to add leaves to stem and underside of flower. I need to talk with Bill Gaylord about the growth slider for the flower. I'd like to know how he got it to grow along a path.
  20. Try setting the force type to vortex, fan doesn't seem to do anything. Make sure dynamics are on also. Instead of a force, you could create a pose percentage and move the hair guides to different locations between 0% and 100% to get movement.
  21. You can adjust the slider whereever you like. I left it wide open depending on the flower type. Flowers don't all open the same.
  22. I've been working on a toon flower model for the trees with leaves project. I discovered something interesting. You can control hair guides with a pose slider. The model is set up for toon render, but I think I'll be able to set an image for the petals for normal renders. I'll be adding sliders for color, size of petals and for flower growth. Let me know what you think.
  23. http://johnl.inform.net/pages/treeswithleaves.htm You can download from this link.
  24. Well with the great plug-in that Marcel made I thought I'd try to make it even easier to build trees for background props. And why keep it for myself. I just would like to see what other people can do with it.
