Yes, Please share that is a perfect solution! how would you share?!

Im interested in why you have your eyeball like that? Im having trouble with mine at the mo and wondered if you followed a tut for that? Cheers - Nixie

Mr Seven -Concentric modelling involves building 'rings' or concentric circles around areas such as the mouth and eyes. It allows for better flexibility when animating. I like your Bush charicature his upperlip is spot on, and the eyes, brows etc! Nixie

Nice hips, well done again. Keep updating! Hey - Vern isn't that bad! Regards - Nixie

I dont know, I like it this way, Gives it a 'cuteness' - It is a baby dragon after all. As long as the rest of the body fits in with this then it should look fine. Congrats on breaking the mold! I would change one thing however (based on anatomy - of dragons??!) see attached pic. Nixie p.s Tea is my drug of choice!

Aha! thank ye very much! I will have to experiment! One more question though - Can such a material be applied to an object which already has colour maps ? Any response is greatly appriciated, Thanks for sharing your techniques. Nixie

Very nice, feels more atmospheric, If you wanted to, I think you could get away with pushing the moniter glow effect more, but as it stands it looks great. Nixie

Thanks guys - I just plugged my harddrive into my mac and its all there so Il backup onto here and get the pc fixed - when I do Il Make a 'how to use motion capture' wink tutorial! if you wan't? Thanks again - Mr jaqe especially! Nixie

Tell me about it! Well I'll get hold of an external case for my hard drive and use that as a backup for my mac, il have to save the pennies and get an athlon 64 and new mobo, it's time for a fresh start! - Mr jaqe - you know your stuff, can you reccommend me a budget Mobo to fit an athlon 64 ? and could you tell me why there seems to be different types of 64? Hope you get this Cheers - Nixie

I had a BIG accident with the pc today (I hate them) It's not starting up anymore and the windows cd keeps hanging the system now too, So I cant get into my hard drives! hoping that my data isn't damaged. (touch wood!) but I had a play with mocap just before and got a video across to my mac (yes, my faithful mac) I think Il do a Blit Wizbok style 'think different' parody if i can get access to my harddrives! here is all I knowingly have left of my Gobelah' Regards guys - Nixie Lastdance.mov

I like the way it looks - smooth, Some modeled wrinkles in his clothes would look great, I meant his face (bumpmaps), I think he looks great in shaded mode keep that look! Seven - I think a model exchange forum is a good idea - I'd participate when I had some more models. Nixie

Wow! Jack, you'v come along way. Im really impressed; I wish I could have got on board at the beggining now but I didn't have the time. But seriously I can't wait to see more. Really great job guys, Awesome work! Nixie

Interesting project, Like the idea. The characters are nice, you could maybe exaggerate them a litte more if you wanted and as for texture, I'd make their skin a lighter shade and a little less pink (less red - more towards yellow). A simple bumpmap to show wrinkles and just give their skin some 'texture'. I'm not talking alot though, I tink simplicity is the keywith guys like this! Good luck with the project, Im a year behind you in my BA so iv got it all to come! Regards - Nixie
-
Nice, Are you keeping the simlicity? or are you going to add detailed textures wrinkles etc? I ask because I think keeping it simple would work best with this guy, its a nice look. Nixie

Not a true scotsman though. But ... I think thats best for everyone here! I prefer him not to be! Like it, this project sounds interesting, reminds me of the look of luigis mansion on the gamecube. Nixie

yeh thought so, thats an extreme case of the mo-blur - blues! if you want motion blur, use multipass and as many passes as looks smooth - it works fine in multipass. Regards - nixie
-
try rendering it in multipass, or without motion blur. I think this could be due to the motion blur settings, Non multipass mo blur is erratic i think! Let me know doug Nixie

deep - sea mushrooms! Nixie

The number one rebelious Mennonite speaks words of wisdom! She looks like a C-D cup but that jiggle looks to be that of an A - B cup! Nice dress too, could you get sequins on there? repeated specular map? Really short fat hairs with capped ends? i dunno, but it needs sequins! Laters - Nixie

Personally, I think the wood texture is just too busy! If It were me, Id think about trying a different surface or if not at least a simpler wood texture. If you look at Fabrices, its very simple and just enhances his models. Other than that its very nice and the composition is fine. Nixie

lol, cheers, how many fantasy creatures has your dog run into in the past then?! Your suggestions were duly noted and most applied, the toes I forgot about so thanks for reminding me, the hands are now alightly larger and tweaked, the belly is a little bigger but not alot, I need him to be quite athletic in my Short Anim - he lives in the woods after all. Eyelids and body parts? i'm not quite sure what you mean here but feel free to explain, I want to finish off all modeling tweaks before i go into final rigging. Oh, Gaz - I was too late for that copy of 3D world Regards - Nixie
-
I just had a crack But the soulcage guys have some sort of shading in their ambience pass? i dont get any; how do they acieve the 'edge lighting' ? Nixie
-
Global illumination is radiosity? I don't think you want that, the way to fake GI is with John Hendersons Skycast ( http://www.artboxanimation.com/ ) But here the soulcage guys use yves skyrigs which do a similar thing. Your trying to get a flat shaded pass yes? i tried just now - click the model in pws - in properties go to options and choose flat shaded. youd have to do this for every model in a scene unless you can change a choriographys properties? Is that right?
-
Dude, Dont worry! it's a graphics card issue I think, I have the same things going on im my models on 5 point patches. They dont render final so what does it matter! Chill! Nixie
-
Right! im off down 'smiths in the hope they still have a copy! (need to pay off my credit card anyway!) Thanks for the reminder Gaz Nixie p.s. (noticed what your teacher said, souded all to familiar)
