  1. It's looking good!! Keep up the good work! George
  2. Charlie, I think it goes in your 14 folder. I'm using 13 and it's in my 13 folder
  3. When you say you just bought this I'm assuming Animation Master? If so, then congrats! You made a very good investment. Once you learn how to use it, it's an incredible program! Again I'm assuming here but it sounds like you've created a project and want to render it out to mov or avi format? Again if so, just follow these steps. Be sure to check out TaoA:M site. George
  4. John, That is an awesome effect. It looks like a neon light sculpture. Really cool!!! George
  5. Wow! That car looks awesome! Excellent work!! George
  6. I know this is your project Charlie but I couldn't help myself. After making the cannon with the path, I had to see what it would look like with the cannon fire using squash and stretch with the cannon sound. Here's what I came up with. I used only one action for the wheel turning. All the rest of the animation for the cannon is a choreography action. The cannon ball is on a path that's constrained to the cannon. The cannon ball is on the path to start but to have it hit the camera, I used offsets from the path. cannon3.mov Here's the project if you're interested Cannon3.zip George
  7. The bison looks great!! The dust looks good. Nice effect. The trot looks a little choppy. If that's a cycle, you might want to consider tweaking the cycle on the end a little to smoothen the loop. Very good work!! George
  8. IF by video you mean videos of you squetching Sulivan....DEFINITELY video. It's much clearer to understand (and learn from ). George

    Rooster

That is an awesome character. I hope you post some animations after you rig it of course. Great job!!! George
  10. WOW Eric! That looks excellent. Can't wait to see it textured. Great job!!! I envy you, Al, Ian and anyone with exceptional modeling skills. George
  11. As Fuchur said, if you select one cp then use the "T" to turn he vew, it rotates around the selected cp(s). A:M isn't being discontinued as far as I know. They've changed the software upgrade policy. Check this site out for all the details. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31389 Basically they switched over to a yearly subscription to use the software. It's $40.00 cheaper ($49.99) but you basically rent the software anually. You can still get the traditional update but now it will cost $299.00.
  12. All you need to do is set the ease to the same percentage for the duration of the pause then set the ease to send the cannon on the path. I think this is kind of what you are trying to do? cannon.mov After setting up the euler drive for the wheels and determined the number of revolutions the wheels will make on the path, then it's just a matter of adjusting the ease for the cannon on the path. If you want it to stand still, you set the ease the same value on the path for the amount of time you want the cannon to pause. EXAMPLE: At 3:00 cannon is at 20% on the path. You want it to pause 2 seconds. Set the ease to 20% at 5:00 on the animation. This will make the cannon not move for 2 seconds. Then just set the ease for the path constraint to 50% in say 5:15. This would make the cannon kick back to the 50% position on the path in 1/2 a second. You can also adjust the key frame bias so it eases in or out. Here's the project files. cannon.zip EDIT: I forgot to put the choreography file in the zip. It's included in this file cannon2.zip Sorry about that George
  13. I'd say chrome but remember, to see chrome, you need light and objects so if you test it in model mode, it will not look right. Only when there are objects and good lighting will it have the look you want. Good luck on your project. George
  14. Hey Tot, The characters look great and you did a great job with the walk cycle!! keep up the good work!! George
  15. Doing a quick vase animation is very easy. Create a quick model of a vase by using the lathe tool. In a new model window, you create an outline of a vase. select just the end cp and hit the lathe tool. Then save the model by right clicking in the model window and saving. start a new action and choose the vase as the model to use for the action. Click on muscle mode. Make sure the timeline is active. drag the timeline a few frames ahead and select a few cp's of the vase and give them a tug (if you turn the magnet tool on it pulls much cleaner). move the timeline bar a little more and move the same cp's you have selected or grab some others. That's it. play it back and you'll have a dancing vase in no time. vase.mov It's not great but it's a quick animation of a vase. If you put a little more time into it, you could get a pretty decent dancing vase. George
  16. WOW Fresh! That's really good!!! I like the rubber effect in the arms. You create the illusion perfectly! George
  17. Al, Just went through this whole thread and man you are a great modeler! I loved the Lamborghini. Quick question about modeling: Do you peak all your splines and the adjust bias (as I learned in a book about mechanical modeling for A:M)? Or just use unpeaked splines and adjust the bias? Or a little of both? Great work!!!! George
  18. Did you check out Holmes Bryant's tutorial on cloth simulation? It's Here
  19. A lot of people in the community have made contributions to the rig (it's a very long list), it wouldn't be half as good without the help I've gotten. At the moment, Mark Skodacek has been working with me on the spine update that's going to be in the next version...it's going to be a lot better. Once that is finalized, we'll get an update released, then the tutorial. I don't think it will be too much longer. David, Is the next update going to require the latest version of A:M to run?
  20. Go to google, type "heart" in the search field and hit the "go" button. Click on the "images" button at the very top right. I just did that and I got a ton of reference pics. George [edit] The references are of a human heart. If you mean a simple heart shape, here's something I shaped using the 32 patch sphere in the models folder. It's not perfect but it's a 3D heart. basic_3d_heart.mdl
  21. How long have you been using Animation Master if you don't mind me asking? George
  22. I read this thread from the beginning and I love the progression. In looking at your walk cycle, it appears that her head is a slight bit too small for her frame. I think the costume layout is excellent!! Keep up the good work! George
  23. I'm not quite sure how my bother-in-law and his partner are going to use this. He's been bugging me to finish it and I've been wanting to so I finally did. I agree it's not the best animation but My brother-in-law is happy so it's pretty much done with the exception of possibly adding sound effects. Thank you for the suggestions and compliments. I'm ready to get back to TWO. Time to finish Robert's shot. George
