  1. Did you not look below the link? I gave the password: dropoff Oops, I should have been more clear. When FF asks for a password, and I enter "dropoff", I get an alert box that says "530 Invalid userid/password" [Edit] I also tried to use ftp to access: ftp://upload:@ftp.postgroup.com/Gale/ As: host: ftp.postgroup.com user: Gale Pswd: dropoff I get error 530: Account Expired
  2. Now FF is asking me for password ftp://jason123@ftp.postgroup.com/TSM2_Video_Training/TSM2_Tutorials.zip When I connect via ftp using: host: ftp.postgroup.com user: jason123 pswd: dropoff I get invalid userid/password I'm only really interested in the all the Anzovin tutorials *Except* TSM ... actually.
  3. FireFTP and FileZilla tried host jason:jason123@ftp.postgroup.com/ and jason123@ftp.postgroup.com/ login: Anonymous FireFTP returned "Unable to make Connection" FileZilla returned "Invalid User/Password"
  4. Open the model window, select the null (in the model window or in the Bones tree) and look in the Property Panel. Roll Method should be there. ... don't have a clue about the spine problem.
  5. Try setting the Null's Roll-Method (In the Properties Panel) from "Y-Poles-Singularity" to "Z-Singularity". Ahhh, art imitates life! (I hope none of your bosses visit this forum!) I don't know how to fix that in TSM, but if it is only the Torso bone that is affected this way, you just have to set the filter to "Key Bone" and copy/paste (not paste mirrored) from a good keyframe to the current one. Or reset the the rotation to 0,0,0 so you can see what you are doing, and adjust the Torso from there.
  6. I just tried again to download the "TSM2 Training, NLA training, Animation Training by Cristin MCkee" file and I still can't download it. I tried with FF 3.5 and Chrome 3. When I try to download from ftp://jason:jason123@ftp.postgroup.com/TS...2_Tutorials.zip I get a Zero byte zip file. Is there any way you can provide an alternate download location?
  7. We finally have a draft edit of the next sequence of Scarecrow of Oz. Yay! OK, so it's not Snow White or Toy Story, but we sure are learning a lot There aren't any sound effects or music yet, so it is kind of sparse in places. Hopefully Angelo will give us some background sounds soon. def3dca464469d2cf9f3
  8. You're welcome! Glad you found them useful. You might try adding the backs of the lower legs to your cloth deflector group. It looks like the cape gets caught in the leg mesh at the end of the video.
  9. Are you using WinXP, Vista or Win7?
  10. How big is the sprite going to be? If you are doing something like Diablo, you can probably get away with decals. If you model the clothes, it usually works best to delete any underlying geometry. You will probably have more luck using CP weighting and Smartskin ranther than cloth simulation for most of the clothing parts. Cloth sim might be useful for something such as a cape though.
  11. Yeah, a tga sequence with alpha usually works best, thought I have had success with quicktime movies compressed with the Animation codec. I've had best results making the background behind an image of the person black after I create the alpha channel, and make the alpha channel 1 or 2 pixels smaller than the object. This helps to eliminate the fringe that sometimes results from some programs like Photoshop. You can create a Layer in the choreography in A:M to map the image or image sequence onto. First import your image or sequence, Right-click on the chor and choose New > Layer and choose your image. You can move a Layer anywhere you want in the chor.
  12. Cloth takes a lot of experimentation. First you should work through this tutorial to make sure you have the basics down. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?s=&am...st&p=248996
  13. Happy birthday Mark! I didn't see you listed has having a birthday today ...
  14. Thanks!
  15. Ninja Hyenas ... excellent
  16. Excellent tip. Thanks Will.
  17. This will get you started. It is for all kinds of trees, not just pine trees, but it also makes good pine trees. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=30938 As for the foliage, Hair is your friend. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29738
  18. What does it looks like with no color map (color map set to 0%) ? How about when the bump is set to something like 400%? What does it look like with displacement instead?
  19. I could buy the highlights on the tall skinny rock, but I see what you mean about the other rock. Do you think it would look better if it was rim lit more, and the specular highlights were toned down a little?
  20. Oh yes. Love the water, and the fish. And I really don't think that the shoreline is lame, it's just that your image has the potential to be stunning, it's already pretty freakin' amazing, and in that context, the shoreline sticks out.
  21. Zero Slope Interpolation also works well.
  22. Very nice image. Here are some images of various shorelines on the open ocean. http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/1050775382040195993LaRjae http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseact...logId=449530971 http://www.flickr.com/photos/awara/2604120860/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/peke_cheeks/123693068/ You could probably get away with less dynamic water/land interaction if you turn your ocean into a lagoon or inlet by placing another body of land out past the rocks.
  23. If rendering to Quicktime or AVI, that might be the problem, but surely 10 gigs should be able to render a series of 4k still images? ... if indeed A:M can access all that RAM...
  24. I never would have thought to use the skin shader to get a metallic effect. Nice idea.
