Rodger, version 19o has been posted. Give that a try and tell me if the problem persists for you. I'm looking at it in v19o and they look appropriate here. -
v19n render issues [solved: fixed in v19o]
robcat2075 replied to R Reynolds's topic in Animation:Master
I've noticed three pointers and hooks have trouble in real time lately. Is there any difference between multipass and non-multi pass? Can you post a PRJ that has that same rivet head before a camera? -
Hey that's fun to watch! It's like one of those ZBrush demos. So let's see... 20 x 4 minutes and 12 seconds is... um... uh... pretty good time, whatever it is!

Try this load this PRJ into 32-bit A:M HDRenderTest001.prj in Tools>Options>Rendering check Use Settings from: The Camera press Render to File button Output>Format should already say QuickTime Movie. If not, set it. Set Filename to save to a location you wish to save to The other settings should already look like this... Press Save Options>Set Set the Compression Settings in the window that appears to this... press OK When i do that in 32-bit A:M I get a 1 second 1920x1080 HD QuickTime movie that plays in the QuickTime player and is indeed 1920x1080 in size.

Welcome to A:M! I can answer this one right away... Extrude will work on whatever CPS are selected. Typically, you are extruding CPs that are all on one spline loop, but if you have unintentionally selected interior CPS, you can exclude them from the selection by, choosing Lasso mode (SHIFT G), holding down the ALT key, and drawing a lasso around them. There is a two-word phrase for success in making good A:M models... spline continuity. Easy to do, tricky to explain. Check out the post on Spline Continuity in my tutorials link in my signature for a brief explanation.

I'm not familiar AVI YUV but it sounds like an old TV format, which would explain the res. I'll note that you can render to Quicktime if you open your PRJ in 32-bit A:M which you can also install and run under your license. (Copy the master0.lic file from the 64-bit folder to the 32-bit folder.) However, it is more robust to render to a JPG or TGA sequence from A:M and compress them into a movie in some app that will admit an image sequence as video. You could load your 64-bit rendered animation into the Images folder of 32-bit A:M and do a "SAve Animation As" and choose one of the better Quicktime codecs. Personally i prefer to use Quicktime Pro or all my recompressing needs because it also does audio compression. QT Pro is $29.99 If you have more questions, ask!

Here a PRJ waterfall025_CrustyLavaStartedy.prj The materials are keyframed to move horizontally through the model. Because the "waterfall" is inclined (a section of a parabola, really) the texture appears to move down as it move through it. A Pose alters the splines so that the lava appears to drag at the sides of the channel.

Just messing around!

A lavafall made with a noise combiner...

Did you get this solved or is it still a problem?

My very first character modeling and animation in Animation:Master. I intended to give this as a Christmas card in 1997 but didn't quite finish in time so it got slightly repurposed. Bones, Moving Camera, Textures, Lights, Shadows, Decals, even Refraction... all the 1990s CG bells and whistles are here. The files are long gone, it survives only as this flip book which I carried in my portfolio for years.

Killer Bean!

Good to see him again! I'm glad he's still with us!

Lower the "initial velocity" in the sprite properties.

It looks like bats.

Hmmm... Wiki lists it as May 23, 1953. I must have misread the date on the opening title. I have no idea how fast these things circulated after they were "released" In all my reading I've only found one instance where the number of prints made for any movie of that era was mentioned (250 for a special WWII Donald Duck cartoon). But that's nothing compared to "wide releases" today. It's possible there were many theaters that cartoon didn't get to... until November. Edit: the copyright date is indeed 1952. I guess it sat on the shelf for a while.

Merry Christmas to all and to all, a fine spline!

I got two "Null Pointer" messages but it was frozen after that.
-
I haven't been able to get it to load. I get a freeze after the skylift8.avi file is found. That doesn't mean the AVI file is the problem, it could be whatever is called after that. Try this... Project>Consolidate>Project as zipped project... and send me the zip I will note that if you need to incorporate a video into an animation it is always more reliable to use a numbered image sequence instead of a compressed video file.

OK, If the real-time render doesn't look good enough, we don't need to pursue that possibility further. How long is the life of the sprites?
