  1. You do a great job of re imagining the 2D as 3D.
  2. In A:M, when you are in the "Render to File Settings" window there are "Save" and "Load" buttons at the right. "Save" will save ALL your current render parameters to a Preset file that you can later recall with "Load" NetRender has a "Load Preset" button at the bottom of its render settings window.
  3. I'm not sure I see the two on the left. If you can show a wireframe of the same angle that might reveal a cause.
  4. Happy Birthday, Mike, one of our log-time contributors!
  5. I just looked at V17 and it is there. Report that absence to AMReports Try saving a Preset from A:M v18 and load that in NetRender instead of making the settings in NetRender.
  6. I haven't seen the movie yet so I'm not familiar with the character. Is the chin too narrow or is it maybe that it sticks out too far?
  7. Definitely report that with a sample PRJ. And you can model in v17 in the meantime if v18 is too tedious. EDIT: I note that something like this has been reported before. Make sure you have the latest v18 installer and make a report if that doesn't fix it.
  8. That is disappointing.
  9. JackDrama has noted a problem area above that probably bears some rethinking/simplifying.
  10. BTW, that's me playing the theme song on my tuba.
  11. my Fluffy Clouds by material
  12. Try un-five-pointering the patch first by adding a CP to one side of the five-pointer. OR IF you want to send it to me I'll try to un attach it. OR... make a bug report of it.
  13. If you can post a PRJ that crashes or want to send it to me privately in a PM i'll take a look at it. IF SSAO is the problem perhaps a work around for now would be to drop back to v16 and use the FakeAOGPU plugin which is free for VGA resolution. How many frames do you have to render?
  14. Welcome to the A:M Forum! First, is it sure that the SSAO is the problem? If you turn SSAO OFF, the scene will render? I'm not sure about CPU-only SSAO. How are you turning that on?
  15. In the tuts link in my signature there is a demonstration of volumetric clouds with a material. However I think that is more complex than what you need. I suggest applying a map to represent your "matter" to a grid and then warp the grid into whirlpool shape.
  16. I wonder how the snail gets started on that very first segment with nothing to build it on?
  17. It won't be a problem of storing the image data because that is not stored in a project file, only a link. Just to try... try a different JPG and try a different TGA.
  18. We begin "It Can't Be Done", a tutorial thread in which we try to do the undo-able... with Animation:Master! Part1 This month's topic is revealed and we get started. PRJ of example in video ICBD_2_2014_02_line_test.prj The photograph shown in the video is used with the permission of the artist, Rob Walker. Part 2 ... With comparative analysis we learn to cook our own A:M files. I recommend you Fullscreen it and use the "Settings" button at the lower right of the Youtube player to choose 480p or 720p. If anyone can't view Youtube, let me know. 19. That indicates you have OpenGL2. So setting A:M to OpenGL3 won't work.
  20. that error message literally says OpenGL less than 3 not supported. Could that be what it means?
  21. I have AM 18.0 SSE3 64 bit an I've been able to import images to the images folder. There must more to it than that action. But if you could post a sample image that always crashes A:M that would be useful to test.
  22. Is that cloth hair or hair hair?
  23. Wishing you a happy power-up soon!
  24. AFAIK, locations of windows on the screen are stored in the registry and not otherwise savable,
