  1. Do the Specular Size and Roghness have any value in them?
  2. Great work! Very touching to see someone model the WTC in A:M.
  3. Did you use a walk cycle? The arm movement is too exaggerated and the last step is jerky and out of sync. I wouldn't use a walk cycle if these are the only steps your character is going to take. I'd simply animate the walk, I found that I can make a better walk without the use of the walk cycle action.
  4. john3d is a 'Tinkering Gnome'. His "inventions" are out there, but I gotta admit; I find his tinkering fascinating - haven't found use for them just yet but I can't help think "I may need it some day". Thank you john3d
  5. Impressive! Most impressive!
  6. The lifting looks good, I wouldn't touch it anymore. The character has a ways to go, the walk is too choppy, a little bit of sliding at the feet that needs to be corrected, and while the slab is being lifted have his right arm go down to his side and have him take his hard hat with his left and scratch his head with his left pinky, or something... ya know? That's what I saw people do at the construction site where I work. It'll give your character something viewers can associate with - just my thoughts

Dianna Krall is awsome. And your sketches are awsome as well
  8. That looks better, evolving nicely. Uh.. your side markers (green and red lights) are backwards. Red's always on the left/starboard side, unless of course they're from planet bizarro
  9. How did you compress your movie? What program did you use? What settings, etc..?
  10. Exquisite design. Good work. I see you have a large number of patches hidden in the legs. Could you substitute those hidden parts with decals instead of actually modelling them? Leave the modeled details for close up shots.
  11. Bravo! Bravo! Encore
  12. The secondary movements I was thinking of is some delayed reaction of the flames after the saucer bops and weaves. Like when the saucer rolls left, the flames would have a bit of delay before they follow the roll. This can be accomplished either by the sprite emitter or adding a couple of bones to each flame with constraints or simply animated. That'll depend on the vision you have for the scene. Looking forward to your experimentation
  13. Looking good. Nice simple shapes and primary colors makes for a pleasant watching. The jet flames could use a little secondary motions so as not to look like rigid parts of the saucer. Looking forward to more updates.
  14. One spline has two control points, each CP controls the end of the spline closest to it. When a CP is controling 4 splines and you only want to delete a specific spline connected to it, click on the spline closest to it that you need to delete (the spline will have a green hi-lite). Hope this helps.
  15. Isn't it an old movie trick where they film the scene in broad daylight but put a tint lense over the camera lense to "desaturate" the colors and give the illusion of darkness? I remember this being popular in the 70s TV series and movies.
  16. Great caption "Heavy weight tools. Light weight price" LOL I love it. Excellent.
  17. You call that clutter? I call that very well organized. Come here and I'll show you clutter. Nice work
  18. Too dark to see anything
  19. Now that's one heavy marble slab. Much better. Good job!
  20. No fair. Vicky has a size advantage over Ivy Good work!
  21. A Rubik's Cube excercise would be a good addition to the tutes, no?
  22. Makes me wish I had an office like that. Getting kinda tired of working in the dining area. Nice work!

    Many thanks
  24. Good job on using stretch on the bands holding the marble slab, but you also put rebound which made them seem elastic, like a rubber band. Stretch the bands out only, without rebound, and move them just a tad towards the center (where the steel ring is) to simulate weight forces in the works, and then don't let them move once the slab goes up.

I too could use an airport model.
