    CP Assignment?

Thanks! That's given me plenty to digest.
  2. OK, I've got the 5 finger biped rig installed and ready to be assigned. I need a reference for which bones to assign the cps to.....there's loads of them in the arms and legs which I assume are for the squash and stretch. Do I assign to them? I'm pretty sure there's a ready made character floating around, but I can't find a link.
  3. There should be keyframes in the pose. But if you can't find them, then you could make the EEE mouth shape in an action and copy the keyframes from there to the start of each pose.
  4. Cool model! Scale it up and it could be used as a real one! BTW did you get the model online? I'd love to get one too.
  5. Are there any lights in your chor? If not, turn on "use front realtime light" in the chor properties.
  6. They're working ok on newly made models in the release version of v14. Is the dynamic constraints enforcement definitely set to on?

    STEP 6

Has anyone rigged a different character yet? How does the face bone rig transfer to different spline layouts?
  8. So....if the program is 32 bit native (like AM) then it won't run on the 64 bit version of AM? Can a 32 bit OS be emulated by 64 bit OSes? I'd really like to go for 64 bit and be future proof for now. And of course, for all this to work, I assume the processor needs to be 64 bit too.
  9. Go for Premium at least. My guess is you should also go for 32 bit as there aren't very many 64 bit drivers yet. I don't know if AM would run on it though.
  10. It should be on printed on the first page of the manual.
  11. Was it a second hand laptop? I assume a new one would come with up to date ones....then again, laptops seem to take second precedence to desktops with graphic card companies. I would assume this is the only issue with running AM on Vista. As long as you check if there are up to date Vista drivers for the card you're getting then it should be ok.
  12. Pretty good. I'd tone down the stars abit.....they're all the same brightness too. Lots of tuts on the net for that.
  13. Very cool. Are you using displacements?
  14. Cool....nice abs....are they painted on? Give the poor guy some eyes!
  15. Right click on the shortcut to the model and you'll see the New option.
  16. I assume it's been that way through 20 years of inflation. It's definitely been 7 years. I'm always interested.....how did you hear of Animation Master?
  17. I got that. I meant there's abit of "checkering" on the cloth where the cloth splines are going (the wrong way) against the model.
  18. Nice effect! Another thing you might try to polish it is to model/arrange the splines in the cloth so that line up with the edge of the model that it's covering. Don't forget to show us the finished project....if you're allowed.
  19. Here's the blurb: http://www.hash.com/am2007/
  20. You should contact Hash directly. I'm sure they'd be interested as they offer student discounts. They even have an optional syllabus for kids to follow.
  21. I'd advise you to watch the cloth tech talk.....in particular, it says to set the chor cloth properties to 64 and 0 instead of 4 and 4 (I think those are the figures) which avoids the errors more than not.
  22. If the color is on a group in your model, you can access it by pressing the red X icon (show more than drivers) beside the shortcut to the model.
  23. The resolute walk isn't embedded in the project. There are several ways to solve the problem with the easiest probably being to delete the right foot and toe target bones in the chor action on shaggy. I don't think they're really doing anything.
  24. Funny. I'm working on that exact thing right now! But you'll have to wait a while.
  25. As with most things.....patience. Unless you're really patient, you're probably better to use the extruding method (as opposed to try and tweak existing meshes) which produces a perfectly smooth patch right off the bat. But there are many ways to model, you just have to find your way. Look at the many tutorials on the ARM site.
