  1. Hmmm... Give up on V11.1 cloth. If you can't afford an A:M 2007 upgrade, offer to trade a model, or work on TWO, or something. You're beating your head against the wall for nothing. V13 cloth is much better.
  2. That looks great, Jason. I eagerly anticipate the next one.
  3. It looks great, Rusty. Thank you for keeping us informed of your progress. It is an inspiration and entertainment to everyone.
  4. Well, Steven, you get an "A" on your progress report.
  5. You should never let old projects lie neglected. Set aside an hour a month for each. That way, after a year, you'll have some completed, and you'll keep a lot of people watching your threads happy. I watch your threads. I know a lot of people do. Don't let us hang.
  6. In Scene 28, the camera spends a lot of time looking at the back of Gretel's head, and worse, it blocks Hansel's face while he's talking. Close-up on Hansel while he's talking. In Scene 34, cut to a close-up of the moon's face when it smiles. Overall, you need a close-up whenever a particular character is talking. You're holding too long, and you could make the camera angles more interesting. This is shot like Claymation - which is okay for Claymation but you're doing CG. Characters are good. Need other voices besides the narrator. Sound effects will help immensely. Characters need "Hair." In fact, I'm assuming you're planning on going back and texturing everything later because the palette is very small. What age group is this aimed at? Do at least one glamour shot so we can see what you intend for the final lighting. GREAT JOB. ONE MAN, ONE COMPUTER, DOING A 30 MINUTE FILM AT HOME!
  7. Yeah... You know how many lurkers are watching this thread? Good job.
  8. That's awesome (as usual), Serg. How come you couldn't match the 3D model with the image at the end?
  9. Hey, Mike. We're glad to have you back.
  10. Wow. A tutorial with these as the images would be a big hit.
  11. I'd be fooled. My mom would be fooled. My brother, daughter and sons would be fooled. You've got a tough audience here Marcos.
  12. I'm trying to watch the trailer. Does it take a long time to load? (I can see the picture of the car, explosion, 5 Thoms with pistols, and I can hear the music).
  13. That's quite good William. Put the Rotoscopes on as decals and let's see what you look like! (I hope your "head" will show up on next year's "Extras III" DVD?)
  14. Chris; Making a movie is HARD. I mean, it's REALLY HARD. (Did I mention how HARD it is to make a movie?) Why don't you get involved with TWO for a while and get your feet wet. You may not want to ever make movies again after that but at least you'll see some of the inner workings - the HARDEST of which is managing people. Martin
  15. Jim donated both this data and the data for "Leopard Queen" (which in on the existing "Extras" CD). It would be great if somebody did an animation with these scenes!
  16. Uhhh... That's what Render Lock is for.
  17. Only a limited number of lights show up in realtime rendering. Try "Final" rendering? Are they alright there?
  18. If you have two processors (or dual-core), and you do two simultaneous renders, then there's no competition for resources. Otherwise, there will be. That said, if you wanted to render a bunch of stuff overnight or while you're at work, the render slowdown wouldn't matter so much, since you'd at least get all your scenes rendered. RAM is the biggest resource limitation. Swapping is SLOW.
  19. You're in... I see you've already started modeling. Good initiative. Who's next?
  20. Well, I can. No one wants to be the only person criticising a well loved piece. It's only after someone brings it up that everyone else can go, "Oh, so I wasn't the only person who noticed that..." Well, I can't. Why don't we have a vote: "all those who think 'darting eyes' does not rise to the level of criticism," vote "Yay."
  21. Okay, adding modelers to the TWO movie has just increased our need for MORE modelers. If you've been hanging around watching TWO's progress but haven't been contributing... Now's the time. We need prop modelers for "Nimmie Amee's House Interior" and "Tin Castle Throne Room"; you're pick. Please post here or in the appropriate TWO thread to let us know you're available!
  22. Karl, the more encouragement I can offer you in this project, the better: I look forward to your posts; the models are excellent; the "Wolf 359" theme intriging. Don't let up. This piece could hit the Internet hard - there's a lot of fans out there.
  23. I think the "boolean" idea for ship destruction is fine unless you want to have a "damaged" ship for HA:MR (real-time) too.
  24. You'll probably want to use these models in HA:MR - booleans don't work in real-time.
