Mmmm I thought I had this sused but I got a problem with the right hand contoller ,its not working ,left is fine and the right arm is fine , the hand gizmo works fine ,just the hand controler don't do anything .Is there something's I can check or maybe a swich I don't have on somewhere ?any and all help gratefully recieved Steve ps You know them rings around some cp's on the tom squach model , is that the cp waiting? how do you get that to happen ,it looks like the same cp;s are asigned to more than one bone ,is this how it work;s cheers

  4. I just looked at that and its pretty handy to get an idea of the cp waigting.it looks like some cp's are selected with more than one bone ,is that posible ? around the crotch area ,on the thigh bones and none on the hips mmm ,thinking all the time

Okey Dokey Im doing the leg compensate again and it messed up ,but I hadn't saved it so all is well ,the problem I think anyway is, In the tut all except one has the apply before action off before and after you change it ,but on the Orient like right-foot-FK-control you put it on before you change it the swich it off again ,now should theye all be off and just that one differant or do I need to swich them all on before changing the % then turn them off again phew hope you understand what Im on about , cheers Steve oh its on frame 00.24.13 if that helps to explain better
  6. Thats a nice bit of modeling ,just one observation if I can ,the grain of the wood would maybe look better going along the lenth of the handle rather than around ,but it looks good anyway

Thank's Mark ,but I was right ,I did mess it up .Will do the compensate legs thing again .Thats interesting about the hips ,thank's a lot .Rodney you right for sure ,you want me to mess with a model for you hahaha btw Mark if this model would be of any use please use it in any way,its intended for the dvd when ,or if I ever get it done ,oh think posative ,when I get it done lol Steve

Well it was looking ok in the action window except the shoulders ,untill I started tut 4 , so I think I must have done something VERY wrong somewhere .In an action now the right leg seems to influence the left when moved and the left seems crazy .Everything looked ok untill I done that thing in the timeline wich is strange to me as I didn't think that was anything to do with the legs ,shee the more I learn the less I know .Don't knock yourself out on this David theres no rush ,just do stuff when you have a spare moment .One thing Iv been meaning to ask and this might seem silly to you but the cp's being asigned as theye are auto ,theres some in the bicept that belong to the shoulder I reasigned them ,but thinking maybe this is cp waigting? I allways thought waiting was done on the bones ,say 75% to one and 25% to another.Allthough the arms and shoulders work ok as long as I keep the arm pulled away from the centre .Anyway have a good sleep ,Steve edit ,I did update to v13 b before starting tut 4 ,not sure if that would have a bearing on things

  11. Thank's David ,will try that .there was a strange thing on the ones where you copy and paste the cp keyframes ,one was at a diferant level than the other ,hard to explain ,will do what you say and if its still a prob will show a pick or something ,cheers Steve

[attachmentid=17852]Now I got another problem Im doing tut 4 compensate the animation controls ,The right leg seems ok when I check it in an action but the left knee goese inward and both controls in the pose sliders seem just to work the left leg and not the right one.I checked to see if it was the thigh x wrong but that looks ok ,allthough I don't seem to have the same controls in that window as you do on the tut ,will show you a pick .Any idea what Iv done wrong or what could be doing that ,cheers Steve

No no David I didn't think you meant it that way at all .I was just very pleased you helped me out as much as you did .I thought that after all the work it must have been to make the tuts ,(wich are very good btw) you probably wouldn't want to help an idiot lol,but thankfully you did ,.I wish there was someway to do what Rodney sugested and have a learning thing with this rig ,then I wouldn't feel so guilty

Wow I realy messed that up ,sorry for all the extra work David and thank's for your time.Im hoping to be able to finish this model and begin another one and hopefully get better ,you can't get any wors I hear you say. One question I wanted to ask is the in out bone on the chest has cp's asigned to it is this correct ,it seems to work well ,just wanted to make sure. you done the bits I wouldn't have a clue on thank's a lot

David or anyone that can help ,I have a strange problem with the ring finger right hand ,it goese into the pinky finger when I open a action window .Strange as it looks fine in the bones mode window ,any idea what this is ,Im at a loss,would apreciate any advice ,help ,I am asigning the cp's and checking stuff before moving onto tut 4 ,its looking good apart from a couple of probs ,a knee not working very well ,the finger as mentioned and I can't get the bones in the thumbs to show in an action.Allso hmmm hmmm should the face rig be working at this point ,ie before tut 4 ,well thats give your ears or eyes enough lol [attachmentid=17743]

  19. These thumb's are tricky little devils to get in place,I keep loosing them from view ,but Ill get there eventialy
  20. That worked out well ,would take me weeks to model something as good ,and then it wouldn't be recognisable
  21. shee just had to deleat and start agian ,made the thiegh bone so big it couldn't come back , this is like a sweatshop lol

  24. Your welcome to use the model I intend for the dvd ,when its ready ,the model is ready I cut it in half and cfa it to get it more ready to be rigged,as I see Davids a stickler for numbers lol.Just say and I will upload it its the one in this thread HERE
