  1. Okay, I'm in the middle of my experiment with working on a little of everything at once. I've done a little modeling, but I can only show one small part of it at this point...a break room chair. I've got the basic break room set roughed out and a break room table almost finished as well. I've also put together another tutorial on Expressions covering the "Abs()" and "RGB()" functions which I posted here. It's not as much as I wanted to get done, but I can at least show some progress. I'll see if I can get enough of the break room finished to post a thread for it and then do some more work on the rig.
  2. Looks great so far, David!
  3. You can download this video from this post...it also includes subtitles.
  4. Happy Birthday, Jason Hampton!
  5. Great job, Gene!
  6. Great stuff, Mark!
  7. What I've been doing is using Squetchy Sam as the working version of the rig and test changes using him. Once I have the changes figured out, I make adjustments to the installation bones that are affected (if it is only something like the hands, then that is all that needs changing, etc) in the installation rig and add the new Poses into the "FINAL_IMPORT" portion of the installation rig (the bones and Poses are broken up into two separate models...once the bones are in place, the "FINAL_IMPORT" model can be imported to add the Poses). Hope that helps, Chris.
  8. Congrats, Mark!
  9. Great stuff, Mark!
  10. I've been meaning to put together a more in-depth tutorial...when I get some time I'll see if I can finish something, Holmes.
  11. Very cool stuff, Will!
  12. Yessir, I'm not sure how it was done, but the constraints were messed up. Take this model, delete the bones, name it something like "fix.mdl" and save it. Then, delete the constraints in your model and import "fix.mdl" into your model. Hope that helps. ----------------------- EDIT ----------------------- Mark knows best with the 2008 Rig, so go with his suggestions. Orc_Warrior_rig_update.zip
  13. Great stuff! Congrats to everyone involved.
  14. Are you sure the constraints aren't working? Is the mirrored side now weighted? It could be that the CP's aren't assigned. It would be a lot easier if I could look at the actual model. You can delete the geometry and just post the rig...that way I can tell if the rig itself is working properly. If that is the case, then it is the weighting.
  15. Very cool, Mark!
  16. Still tweaking the rig, but I think I'm going to do a little modeling on the second set starting this week (I think I'm going to have a little time for a change). I still have some things to do to the first set, so I'll try to work that in as well. I'm going to try to divide my time while working in A:M to see if I can keep things from grinding to a halt while I get non-Bertram things done as well.
  17. Love the "army man" Thoms, Gene!
  18. Very cool, Nancy!
  19. I don't think this is the problem, but it never hurts to check...is the model bone hidden in a Pose somewhere? If it is, make sure it isn't hidden.
  20. Very cool, Mark!
  21. Bruce...I'm going to have to nominate you for a genius award! Great idea.
  22. Cool gear, Mark!
