  1. I'm using a GTX 970 without issues, so it should be good.
  2. Since my explanation isn't as comprehensive as I would like, here is a video explaining linear workflow and the gamma correction associated with it: http://greyscalegorilla.com/tutorials/what-is-linear-workflow-and-how-can-it-help-your-renders-look-better/ What is not currently part of A:M, is a button to automatically linearize the 8bit images being used and the material color picker (I've been thinking about making a feature request for a checkbox in the "Tools/Options/Rendering" dialog)...you would have to linearize them yourself before rendering. Also, I didn't mention that you can change the A:M output gamma to 2.2 if you are rendering out an image that you don't plan on doing any post processing on. Of course, it is best to keep everything linear until the final image.
  3. Try hitting "Alt 1"...which is holding down the "Alt" and "1" key at the same time. An alternative would be to go to the "View" pulldown menu and check the "Project_Workspace" there. Hope that helps.
  4. I just posted a video on "Desired Gamma" that may or may not be helpful...it's located at: https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47763&p=409439
  5. Now I'm curious as to why being able to change this gamma value is useful to anyone. Here is a very quick explanation as I understand it. Hope it helps. ---------------------------- EDIT ---------------------------- I forgot to mention that the Gamma render setting for the images was "none". DesiredGamma.mp4 linearization.zip
  6. I'll have to use another "stay alive" post. I'm still working on Sam's modeling when I have time, but free time has been in short supply for a few weeks. With any luck, I'll have some time this week.
  7. Congrats, Mark!
  8. Great stuff, Chris!
  9. yes it does go to the latest - I think Marcos is suggesting that the date is incorrect - your signature says Squetch Rig was last updated 5/20/2015 Ooops, sorry about that. I corrected the date. Thanks, Nancy and Marcos!
  10. ToeIK has been in there for quite a while (it is the "2" setting on "right/left_leg_FK_IK_toeIK" Poses). The link to the latest Squetch Rig in my signature should point to the latest version...that's where it goes when I test it. If you run into any installation problems, let me know .
  11. I started by moving bones around for quite a while without an issue. Then, I decided to start over and count how many times I moved a bone...here are the numbers before crashing: 57, 39, 16, 2. rebooted, 37, 37, 34. Then, I decided to move Groups instead, here are the numbers before crashing: 2, 2, 2, rebooted, updated video drivers, 2. So, I don't think it is isolated to just moving bones. Hope that helps.
  12. I had it happen more often when I needed to update my video drivers...not sure what causes the current problem.
  13. I posted a quick update to the Squetch Rig here: https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27815&p=409082 I also posted a tutorial on using the "Clone CP Weights" plugin here: https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47723 I still have some things I'm working on for the rig, but I wanted to get the tutorial released and it helps having a later version of the rig to follow along.
  14. Here is a quick update for the Squetch Rig. I'm still working on adding a few things, but I decided I would post this so that anyone following along with the Clone CP Weights tutorial ( https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47723 ) tutorial would have some of the fixes in the installation rig used in the tutorial. ------------------------------------- EDIT ------------------------------------- This installation was deleted...the next release is located here: https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27815&p=412401
  15. Here is a tutorial showing some uses for the "Clone CP Weights" plugin. Included in the ZIP file is the video tutorial and the assets used in the tutorial. The latest Squetch Rig can be found using the link in my signature at the bottom of this post. Clone_CP_Weights_tutorial.zip
  16. Great stuff, Nancy!
  17. Looks great, Matt!
  18. Once again, I'm forced to post a "stay alive" post. I've been through several tests that didn't work out and have a few more things I need to try. It takes me a long time to decide if something is necessary, unfortunately.
  19. Damn! I need to get on the stick! I'm looking forward to all of them.
  20. Great stuff, Marcos!
  21. That "rand_ball_mat_final.mov" kicks ass, John!
  22. Looks great so far.
  23. Looks like a successful test, Robert!
  24. Great stuff, Mark!
  25. Looking forward to it!
