3DArtZ Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 rendered this character with a shirt and jeans image from Abercrombie and Fitch.... and to think I wasted time modeling buttons and shirt pockets!!! lol Only quickly put this on the front of the model, but with a little photoshop work, online clothing stores could really help with an animation project!!! http://www.3dartz.com/vids/jeans&shirt.mov Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted November 25, 2009 Hash Fellow Posted November 25, 2009 That works surprisingly well! Quote
Meowx Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Connection timed out for me, but I'd imagine it's something along the lines of what you see in a lot of video games - a hefty amount of texture detail makes even the simplest model look really complex! Quote
jimd Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 yes thats very nice i would like to see a before and after if you could please Quote
3DArtZ Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 Meowx, sorry about that, my server is set to shut down around 1am or so and start back up around 6am.... got to save on that electric bill:) thanks for checking it out. I'll try and post a before clip. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com Quote
steve392 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 That looks excellant ,how much is modeld and how much is decals ? it looks a lot of it is modeld Quote
fae_alba Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Holy Moly! And I just spent last night and modeling a wool vest, buttons, pockets..did you simply apply a decal to do this?? Quote
John Bigboote Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Mighty cool. On one of my recent models I applied a 'wrinkle' displacement map to the knee, crotch, belly and areas where clothes will 'bunch-up' when the joint is flexed. I set the displace value at 0% and made a smartskin for each bone so that as the joint closes to a lesser angle the displacement value increases- automatic wrinkles! Quote
3DArtZ Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 Jimd...here is what it looks like with no decals.... I originally made the model with the toon render so it had a different shade to it, but this is a straight render. kinda plain... http://www.3dartz.com/vids/nojeans1.mov John, I def. have used the relationships to drive stuff like that with decals. It def. would look cool if used in this scenario! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com Quote
itsjustme Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 That looks great, Mike! Very impressive results with those decals. Quote
