Far Star Productions Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 This is a wip and not a final but getting very close. We have not done lighting or final music and still have some animation tweaks to do on the hands and shoulders. there is cut away shots that are needed and will be edited in soon. enjoy Quote
Dalemation Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 It's great to see the progress on your project. It's looking good - so much better with a face expressing emotion rather than just the visor I can see the hands etc require tweaking so I look forward to the completed shot. Quote
NancyGormezano Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 wow - that is looking really good - and even tho you said it needed tweaking it has a very polished, accomplished, engaging look - lots of good expression - love the interaction between eyeball & main character - I assume the story is about the adventures of a boy & his "eyeball"? Admin Rodney Posted August 13, 2005 Admin Posted August 13, 2005 Thanks for posting this. I've missed these character's adventures being previewed here in the forum. Looking forward to seeing more of Far Star. (A Fan) Rodney Quote
jakerupert Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Hi Jack, This is still another a big step forward from what I saw last. Great work!!!!! One minor think: Why not give eyeball some eyelid blinks as well? I think , that would add more expression to him, thats otherwise a bit difficult to achieve...... ;>) Jake Quote
kuep Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Looking great! Can't wait to see the finished movie! Quote
3DArtZ Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Talk about showing some good stuff!!! I'd much rather "see" something like this than Tripping the rift. Nice work! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com Quote
Far Star Productions Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 This is an animation update to the scene. 1. Hands are now final animation with a new hand rig. 2. Added minor shoulder shrug movement 3. Added eyelid to eyeball so he can blink (Thanks Jake for the suggestion) Please make note this is just one camera angel and cut away shots have not been edited in yet. We are still needing to do final lighting but are holding off until animation is locked down. Thank you for the kind words on the last post it is greatly appreciated. wip 4 scene 3 a1 1121 and Eyeball Quote
nixie Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Wow! Jack, you'v come along way. Im really impressed; I wish I could have got on board at the beggining now but I didn't have the time. But seriously I can't wait to see more. Really great job guys, Awesome work! Nixie Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 HAHA! Amuzing and pleasing to look at! Two thums up : ) Great work!! Quote
seven Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 Really impressed seeing this - perhaps your camera work is the best - cutting out a bit of "reality". How many hours have you used to build and animate this scene? To be a bit critical - doing something trying to look real - will be very hard - because every detail not fitting in will be distracting... Now I am sitting looking at the teeth all the time - bad teeth I am telling myself - it is too much spaces between them I believe... Quote
Zaryin Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 Wow, you guys are really coming along. Great job. Quote
oakchas Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Jack, Keep it up, man! I look forward to more and the results of your getting it on the big screen! It's FUN! Quote
Far Star Productions Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 Here is the same clip but with a different lighting set up. Going for glow from monitors on dash feel. We are still needing to added into the shot the light effect from the rear boosters and Stars moving in back ground when ship moves out of control at end . Sorry for the low quality compression of the clip but trying to keep file size down. Look forward to hearing what you all have to say. light set up 2 Quote
dimos Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 The lighting in the second shot is much much much better. Looking pretty impressive. Keep it up. I see you've added faces now. I like that too. Dimos Quote
nixie Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Very nice, feels more atmospheric, If you wanted to, I think you could get away with pushing the moniter glow effect more, but as it stands it looks great. Nixie Quote
Gerry Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Yeah, really great before-and-after effect with the lighting in these two takes. It's looking awesome! I'm looking forward to more. Quote
