  7. Just a note a got AMnet 15g running today and I am loving it. There are a few things that have been a bump but I dont have rely on the cd in the cd tray. Steve
  8. I remembered reading something that Ken and David posted to Holmes about the rig. Both were using 15g. David do you want me to send you my model or do you have enough with SO characters? Steve
  9. Hi David I loaded a squetch rig model from several versions back into AM v15g and I could not select the model in the chor. In fact the model kept crashing. However, I removed the rig and deleted all the relationships and now AM seems to working. Would you take a look at the model? Steve

I wanted to see how long the render times would be with sss and hair particles. For DV size it was 3:30 - 4:30 a frame. I can live with that. Steve cindyside.mov

  16. I dont use the bias adjustments as well. I simply tweak the splines to get the smooth look. Steve

  18. Thanks Gene! It has been a fun journey to learn the program. There is so much to learn. I am still modeling and rigging is just starting. Then there is animating lighting etc... Steve
  19. Just a blog statement here. Back when Bolt and Battle for Terra came out I noticed that most of the human character design had some what of a theme to the main characters. When I began developing the characters for Cupid's Sick Day I wanted to incorporate this as well. If you hadn't noticed, all of the characters a have a lazy j look to the face. By that I have the jaw and chin extend out and a narrowed chin. I even have it on Cindy, the female, albeit it is less obvious. In drawing my sketches for the designs I started with the side view and drew a J with the vertical line laid back and no hook on the horizontal line. All the men started this way except for Tony, the hot dog cart vendor. He started with a j but it was filled in. Any way just wanted to throw that out there in case some of you had noticed. Steve
  20. Jake, here is the render with the correct sss settings. Less waxy. Still having problems with hair shaders. Changed color of hair to see if I could get rid of the specularity. this is with black as base and black as spec, to give a shine but it looks grey? Steve Edit Here is a shot of the hair and skull cap. Wierd shot but trying to calm down the spec.
  21. I just bought netrender update and have at least 12 computers for rendering. Now that being said I have not finished my new server and will be this weekend. You can email me through the forum and we can talk. How long is the animation? I render wrangled for TWO and have done other small project renderings for others. So long as all the chor and setup are completed I will see what Ican do. Steve

    Holmes you will problably get tired of me when I start rigging all the characters for the short. I plan on using the lite in all but the main characters. Your rig is a gem. Steve
