Kamikaze

I have also been in the process of modeling a Pirate Ship .........Still a long way to go ......I want to make this as detail as possible and will probably have several different ship models , stripped down for animating the exterior and others for any interior shot I may want...... Once I'm close to finishing up the modeling I'll post it here for download......but for now here is where I am at with the modeling.... Showcase.mov

Thought I'd start a WIP thread on my attempt at a Music Video ..... I'll post updates on what I'm working on and as I move along I'll post model files just in case other may have use for them. it shows 17c SSE3

I have just noticed that 17c W 64 bit (simcloth crashing version) version has this extra OPEN GL extension..."GL EXT texture filter anisotropic" that 17a does not show .....even tho I couldn't say why, but I don't think that would have anything to do with the crashes..........? Mike

Rodney, Thanks for the info......Hey ! I do exactly as you show ..lettering each new install and keeping the rest ...well at least I try to remember to do that .....oH and on my problem ...v17a 64 bit works ...all 64 bit verions afterwords 17b 17c simcloth crashes ......all these on the same machine obviously......and all 32 bit version work also.....WIndows 7....... I'll try the installer with a "run as admin" and see what happens ....... I've got till next June when supscriptions runs out to figure out whats going on....it has to be my maching .. other say it works for them .......... Mike

I never install over a previous version ...... Crazy aint it? can't figure out what could cause it.......need to figure out before sub update time otherwise I can't see renewing...

Ok , I'm not sure what it is I am doing wrong or going on! ...but in V 17b and now 17c (64bit Win7) .....when I click on simulate simcloth I crash AM.....it sims fine in 17a 64 bit Win7.....also project works in 17c 32bit.... Just goofing around here .....What I have is a clothsim where I have is several deflector half tubes spaced below the cloth and moving towards the camera, the cloth settles on them and I adj CS settings to try to get a bubbley effect ..a little jerky here and there ..the cloth is decaled with an image....with a little work on settings I think it could look nice.......... The jello seems a little stiff..not jiggly..maybe thats your intent?

That would be great............I just want to see how close I can come to animating it like a real human heart .......what technics to use...I may be making a bigger deal out of the animating than it really is but then again, animation is not a strong area of mine, that is if I have a strong area....

Tried to do the sim, but crashed....at first it said needed 1 newton object.....guessed around at settings, then tried sim and crashed.....v17b 64b...... would there be a diff. between 32 and 64 bit sim?
