  8. ok... could you post a wireframe of that view? http://www.flamingpear.com/download.html download "Free Plugins" you need that "solidify" plugin . A B or C, any will do.
  9. Welcome to A:M, Timothy! I hope. How many CPUs do you have?
  10. it's a bit surreal! What does it mean?
  11. first, try reapplying it. delete it entirely, save, reload then apply it again. It also looks like you've got a halo on that decal. In the tuts link in my sig there's a tut on making decals without halos.
  12. I'm not sure A:M Films is being maintained right now. But we'd love to see your work. You can always put it up to Youtube and post the link here. Or compress to quicktime MPG4 or something similarly small and post here.
  13. I think those are the same book. B&N is always higher priced than Amazon. I have the 2002 version. It's certainly a deeper look at A:M than TAoA:M and well worth $19.99. It will start you out from scratch however rather than just pick up where TaoA:M left off, but getting a second explanation of things wont' hurt. Unless a listing says the CD is missing it ought to have the CD, but perhaps there's a way to contact the used seller to check
  14. "polished movie look"... that could mean anything. Good movies are usually lit and textured well. The resolution isn't a big factor in that. Show an example and we might have better ideas.
  15. I wonder what the intended function of that little bit of rotini pasta at the bottom is?
  16. Sorry, wrong Will! I recall recent a blog post by Will Sutton about 3D printing he was investigating.
  17. Was there money involved? That would be a needed element for this to be a "professional" question. Will Sutton's a busy guy.
  18. Looks great. I've often thought that Disney movie is the first "steam punk" film but I never hear it get mentioned in that regard.
  19. Cloth requires much patience and willingness to experiment. Read posts 19-23 in this thread for some other comments and a tut by Homeslice
  20. Do you mean "Doesn't show up in A:M"? Video for A:M needs to be either a Targa sequence (Premiere can export that) or in Quicktime. Some quicktime codecs do not work well with A:M. PhotoJPEG or "Animation" would be good first tries. Targa sequences are usually best, however.
  21. That's fine looking satyr. I can see him being right at home in a Harryhausen movie.
  22. MPG4 or sorenson3 can compress well. H264 compresses well but can't be had directly from A:M It is possible to make bad settings on any of those and get bad results. avoid it import the sequence into IMAGES then and "Save as Animation"
  23. Looking great, as usual. An interesting experiment, when you are done, would be to convert some of those details into depth maps and see how that looks in comparison and how the render times vary. For example the details under the roman arches on the sides would be likely candidates for such a thing,
  24. However, using multiple actions would let you use A:M's "transition to next action" feature between each one. Depending on what the action was, that might be difficult to simulate with "ease".
