Now why didn't I think of that? Thanks Charlie What's a distortion box?

I tried uploading the file, but this is what I get "Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload a file with that file extension." It's a .mdl COL

Just few cps on the mattress assigned to some bones. Nothing fancy, I'm not that good at modeling and rigging. Just something to give the illusion of how a real mattress behaves. [attachmentid=11914]

You must absolutely fix her dress up there. She's a prefectionist and wouldn't be caught dead if there was a single mistake before she goes on stage. Bravo.

Just follow e-bay's lead. A 'Hash Market' topic to be created where hashers can offer their project/model files and let PayPal take care of the payments. If I need a model/object then I post what I need with specifications and have the community compete by offering proposals. My main reason for suggesting this is because I am not good at modeling while some others aren't too keen on animating. So, why not have the two combine their talents in a mutually beneficial transaction. Just a thought. Sorry for getting off topic.

I think Hash, Inc. should start one... OR at the very least create a (heavily moderated) BUY/SELL/TRADE FORUM! You got my vote hashbay.com anyone?

Thanks for your reply Vern. I'm trying to create a mattress that would interact with the objects/models placed on it. I want the mattress to squash when sat on, bounce, stretch back to shape etc. I guess I could do that in a single grid sheet couldn't I?

Why thanks Dan, that has been helpful. I have Yves' link in favs but do I remember to check it out? How do I drag and drop the primitives in my model window? A:M doesn't allow me to.

I'm in the beginning process of building a bed in A:M and before I go any further I'd like to know how to use the beveling feature in A:M. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. [attachmentid=11818]

$50 ain't bad for such a top notch object. Too bad I don't have a use for it. Come to think of it, is there an A:M flea market where Hashers can either sell or trade their work?

Great idea. The set looks great. The yellow lighting seems to create a "fog" that doesn't exist in the white lighting which interrupts the flow of the scene. If that was intentional then it worked

Keep the classy look. Red lipstick & red nail polish will contrast nicely against her blue dress. I agree about using the hair feature, it's time consuming and my computer gets cranky. I guess maps/decals is the way to go. Please keep us posted on your progress. Laters. One more thing, in the pic with the red lipstick, could you show the lighting positions and what kind of lights? I took a closer look and was impressed with the light reflecting on her face. Thanks.

That looks like a good start. I DL'ed the Extras CD Volume One from the Hash website (Free Models) and it has what looks like a 2 bedroom appartment. You can use it and simply model the outside to look like a small house. It comes complete with walls, windows, doors and closet doors, with floor and wall maps & textures. I hope your house isn't in California. As is it'll fetch a quarter million dollars

That is my favorite red I want mine in red, please I'm interested to know how you did her hair? I know it's primitive, but how did you shape it?
-
Did you model the kid?
-
LMAO - that was funny! uh... my wife didn't think so

I think it's cool you're experimenting with this. It kinda reminds me of the The Matrix when the guys morph into another person. Did you DL this plug-in from the Hash forum or elswhere?
-
That's super cool jamagica I DL'd the project but found it to be a memory hog. I gotta get rid of the inner splineage and other fancy lighting to keep the file size down.

Do the Specular Size and Roghness have any value in them?
-
Great work! Very touching to see someone model the WTC in A:M.

Did you use a walk cycle? The arm movement is too exaggerated and the last step is jerky and out of sync. I wouldn't use a walk cycle if these are the only steps your character is going to take. I'd simply animate the walk, I found that I can make a better walk without the use of the walk cycle action.

john3d is a 'Tinkering Gnome'. His "inventions" are out there, but I gotta admit; I find his tinkering fascinating - haven't found use for them just yet but I can't help think "I may need it some day". Thank you john3d

Impressive! Most impressive!
