  1. It's looking really quite good. Two remaining things that stick out for me: For both characters, the arms seem to float away from the body a bit much. Also, the forearm should bend a little more as the arm starts to reach the front of its swing, and continue a little more as the arm swings back; it should start to unbend near the back of the swing, and continue until it's almost straight shortly after the arm starts to swing forward again. This is a difficult effect to achieve with IK, much easier to do with FK. For the adult, the cycle seems slightly rushed when the left or right feet are about to be set down. I think it would be better if the foot almost lingers for a frame or two before hitting the ground. Good going!

Really good work! You seem to be striking a really good balance with as simple as possible but no simpler.
  3. Just fantastic work. Really inspiring!
  4. I had done the same. That was totally the best way. (I presume Robcat still has mine!)
  5. Yves, we always love reading what you have to write! You definitely have a fan base here!
  6. Will Rodney be adding a forum for the bootcamp?
  7. Heh! Too bad we didn't get it on the Bus Stop. Although the ending pretty much has to be at a different camera angle.
  8. I really liked that yellow school bus reflected in the windows of NYU School of Visual Arts at 1:33. International Conventional, a few years old. Rina Piccolo - I've read some of her stuff! (Stand Back, I Think I'm Gonna Laugh) It looks like lots of good times! Congrats!
  9. Some really nice improvements! I really like how there were some ideas where you found a better way of improving the problem that was pointed out than what people suggested! It looks really good!
  10. Registered up for another year last night.
  11. Added to the Storyboard page in the Hash wiki.
  12. Here's some brain-storming; warning, the ideas might be flawed or just plain bad. There has been talk about either a contest or a group project. A common set was mentioned as a desire, and a lot of suggestions were made. How about you offer up a set and characters for a group project? You could give the members of the forum the option of allowing (but not obligating) you to use the clips as promotional clips (as long as they, too, get credit). I would guess that members of the forum who have been following along would be thrilled to give it a go (although I certainly only speak for myself). You could release the videos weekly on YouTube as teasers to the web comic. One possibility is that each person could pick a single 3-panel strip to animate. (The only trick would be finding voices for the characters and sound effects.) Or they could just come up with original material given the characters and the sets. This might teeter on the infamous "What could possibly go wrong?" rhetorical question, but it's something to think about.
  13. I never would have guessed! In all seriousness, your awesome and inspiring results speak for themselves.
  14. Not as much progress lately as I'd like, but some today. Was working on the driver's control panel and dashboard; still a ways to go before it's presentable. Current Progress: 8640 patches, 16 5-point patches
  15. Yes, I like this music a lot! Their dance steps go quite well with it! I like how their dance style changes from parallel to facing each other right at the change to the 2nd "verse" of the music. I don't know if you intended this, but I like how he is frequently glancing over at her while dancing, and she is mostly doing her own thing and not looking back at him at all ... kind of shows a little about their relationship, perhaps, or that she is more confident than he is, or she is just doing it and he's trying to stay in sync? There is one little part in the first half where the dancers both move a little too quickly, but other than that the dancing is looking quite realistic. The FakeAO looks great, as well. It would be nice to have a quick backdrop instead of the solid blue. It is a real treat [*dogs barking excitedly in the background*] I MEAN PLEASURE watching this develop, Nancy! (
  16. And now you get to claim it on your taxes!
  17. I'd do it! I think many of the people that showed interest are a little beyond bouncing ball! But who knows, we may surprise ourselves with what we learn! Are you going to use (or update) the old boot camp page at all?
  18. I think there is a lot of overlap with the idea of a contest and the idea of a forum project. Maybe it would be best to do forum projects, and add a voting aspect to them?
  19. I think it's not just 3D that it's difficult to do in, but all apps.
  20. Are they still working in A:M?
