  1. Thanks guys! Wow, great stuff John. Funny to think it is almost 20 years old Huh, I thought h.264 in mp4 was naitive format for the iPad? I don't have one, so I doin't know though My mom showed this to my grandmother. She really enjoyed it, and was impressed that something like this even was possible My mom had to play it ten times or so for her. haha
  2. I kind of missed the deadline here, but I didn't get back to my computer before the end of the Christmas holiday visiting my parents. So this ugly thing has been decorating my grandma's Christmas tree for the past 25 years. I drew this thing when I was five years old. I bet that if it could talk it would probably whisper something in the lines of "please kill me...." Anyway, just for the fun of it I had it scanned, made a simple model for it in A:M and added the decal. Also added a simple rig and made it move for a few seconds. It would be fun to collect all sorts of children's Christmas drawing and make an small animation out of it, guess I have to search my parents attic before next Christmas I hope I don't give you any nightmares julenisse_walk_720p.mp4
  3. Haha! Very nice design. The googly eyes made me giggle
  4. Really great splining! I would propably end up with ten times the amount of patches if I where to try something like this. I like the new proportions, however I feel the nostrils are a bit big now in my opinion, kind of made me think of Alf
  5. Thank you guys! I had a great day
  6. Just got the DVD today, Thank you Mark! It is now a part of my collection *I actually have the Killer Bean DVD as well
  7. Congratulations Mark! I am looking forward to get the DVD in the mail
  8. If you enable the setting "create hull for starttime" A:M will create a model that represent how Newton sees it. By doing this on your Rotor model we clearly see why it pops off, and why it worked with just the crossbar You can fix this simply by create Newton_0x groups for each part of the model you want Newton to interpret separately. Looking at the new hull, you see that it looks more correctly And now its working: newton_000.mov I hope this made any sense Stian
  9. WOW guys! All the tests looks beautiful. I might test this with AO tomorrow, but I do fear it will become a renderkiller due to all the transparency HAHA! This made my day
  10. The wings are beautiful! Did you use coockie cut decals or hair?
  11. Could this be because you have mirror mode activated?

    Curl!

It hurts my brain trying to figure out how you did this
  13. The beveling sure does wonders. Great work. I would also suggest that you stay away from pure colors, like absolute black. All details vanish. Nothing in the real world do have such pure colors.
  14. Very smooth model! I sure would love to see a hdri render of it! *cough cough www.nordicfx.net cough cough*

    Nidaros Cathedral

Hi guys I have uploaded a new render of the cathedral to YouTube. This time is is a close up of the westfront. At five cores I was able to do five frames every fifth hour (so basically 1 hour each frame). Stillframe: Thank you to Steffen for helping me track down and resolve a few bugs. A:M now eat complex models like this for breakfast!
  16. Happy birthday Robert! In norwegian: Gratulere med dagen Robert!
