  3. This is a character I sketched like 3 years ago.. I decided to model him.... the idea is a hovering Bot with guns built into his armor from underneat... He's a guard for an experiment lab..   5. Daniel is a 3d Studio Max Pro since back in the days of release 4...... if ur gonna copy his model I suggest u don't....... try change up the design if u plan on using it..

  10. No matter ur background u MUST put in the time so u can learn.... Like myself I can't make anything of quality but spending alot of time with A:M and experimenting and understanding the concept of modeling etc will help you greatly.... don't be afraid to try new things.........
  11. NANCY - I myself is always looking for innovative ways to soften my scenes and give them this soft dreamy appearence.... What I usually do within THE GIMP is use the SOFTGLOW filter..... this gives an overall softness to the scene... [attachmentid=20484][attachmentid=20485] Am not sure if this is what ur looking for but it's what I use when needed.......AM still looking for other ways to gain more control over it.......

  14. Cool caveman... I like what u have done so far...I can't help but notice that the overall scene has a very flat appearence... Maybe ajust the lighting a bit to create uneven light and shadows....if thats the look u want then keep it... I look forward to more...
  15. Cuboos - it's just a simple cylinder with the Diffuse settings at 50%, then in THE GIMP I used the smudge tool and added the effect it has... Den - thank you.

  19. Kevin awsome job on this model, looks real....I just think the edges of the model to be a little jagged but it's not a big deal.... keep up the great work..
  20. For me the BULK of modeling is observation...You must study ur model really well before attempting to create it..Do a few sketches and think as u sketch how u will actually model it.... You approach ur models in this thought process and modeling will become more practical to you....Always draw or use references!!!

  24. press PRINT SCREEN on the key board and it will do a screen capture.....then u can paste it into a new document in photoshop..... nice model........
