I agree. I can't wait for this to be finished. How long is it going to be again? The above image looks great and especially the DoF which is so underused generally.
In the animation, I notice the ballerinas left elbow bends in two directions. Or that's how it looks anyway.

Newbert: Bevels are where the corners are rounded off. So, in AM, you would need to have a spline on either side of the corner spline. Bevels are similar to chamfers which are flat at the 45 degree angle on the corner.
That's great. I can imagine some really fine bump and displacement maps that would really push him to the limit of achieving reality. If that was the look you want of course.
I think in The Incredibles, they made "pose sliders" for each attribute(big nose/big head/fat/ etc etc) and just played round with them to make hundreds of extras.
I seem to remember a certain Mr Freeman considering such a task.
