  1. Of course, you could use images on 3D planes in front of the camera to make it look like 2D animation. It all depends on what you want to do.
  2. No, Animation Master is not just an animation program. Though I can understand why you might think it is. Also, Animation Master is a 3D program. Photoshop is used for making 2D textures. So, you can model, rig, apply textures, animate and render all in AM. Do more research to make sure you know what you're buying.
  3. To pick something up , you should use the orient like and translate to constraints.
  4. I doubt it. Contact has directly at info@hash.com. Or you might try getting a cheaper copy on ebay. Make sure it has a serial number or you won't be able to upgrade it.
  5. Amazing. The lip sync is almost flawless now. Imagine this guy with materials and final rendered! Do you have to do any "remapping" to make the origin face fit on to the bug face? What do the markers drive in AM? Poses or is it a keyframe on every frame? PS I can see AM studios like SoulCage being interest in this tech.
  6. I saw a mention of making money out of this project somewhere. As far as I know, Mario is Trademarked and so that won't be possible. But it looks like you're learning alot! Keep it up.
  7. Excellent work! Are you using AM long? The blue floor and blue car makes for alot of blue!
  8. It should be on by default. It's the big "A" icon on the right of the top toolbar.
  9. Also, if the pouches etc are separate from the body, you might consider making them action objects. So, you would make them in a new model and drop them onto the body in an action. That way, you can delete the action in the chor when you're animating. But unfortunately there's no CFA in actions.
  10. That's great detail. Only crit is his ass is looking abit flat. Is this for your new movie project now?
  11. Good to see you here! I think I get the gist of the message. 1) No problem. How easy or hard is up to you. 2) Not really. It's easier than any other 3D software. 3) Live action and AM is possible. If you want to track something, you'll need another cheap program called SynthEyes (sp?). Or you can bring the background live action into AM and animate your alien in front of it. Easy. 4) Obviously the faster the better. I'd recommend at least a 2Ghz and 512mb ram and WinXP/Mac equivalent. 5) Can you post a link to the site? That sounds abit too cheap. I wouldn't trust it. AM costs $299 usually and $99 to upgrade no matter when you bought it originally.
  12. It sounds like the music just needs to be dragged to the right place in the Chor timeline. Look in the properties for the shortcut to the sound and see what the start time is. If it's not zero, change it to zero.....if that's when the animation starts.
  13. Try setting them both to Add. It works here. You might want to put ON "Hold last frame" too.
  14. You can't go cutting up bears. They're on the endangered species list! I recently saw another company working on capturing facial animation and it was the best I've seen it. Unfortunately I've lost the link. Maybe I got it from the forum.
  15. More questions: How much do those dots on your face cost? I assume it's a digital camera? What MP?
  16. Lots of potential (TWO 2 anyone). I notice the eye lids aren't working. I don't know how the eyes are tracked.....maybe the pupils are markers. But put some teeth in there and it would probably look better.
  17. By puppeting system, I'm assuming it's some sort of external control of the character. It that's so, then there's certainly potential there.
  18. I'm not sure there's a direct way. But I'm pretty sure there's an indirect one. Perhaps try loading two copies of your model into a project. Then rename the pose in one and drag it onto the Relationships folder of the other one in the PWS.
  19. If you can post the model (or part of it) do so. It could be something solvable. I doubt it's in the mesh....but some sort of boning issue.
  20. Cool! All that's missing is the little lego trucker with the cap and bulging arms.
  21. Follow the AM manual and start modeling. When you have a problem, post an image and then we can better help you out.

Been there, done that. Here's the link: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...on+eye+material
  23. For the dvd, you can view the models inside the AM library system (ALT+5). But if you want the import model preview working, let Hash know on the link in my sig.
  24. Press PageDown key a few times?
