Just an old Gnome tinkering This is a bulb light set to be volumetric then rotated with the x and y scaled to 500% and z is scaled 0-15% with an expression [attachmentid=15848] [attachmentid=15849] done in 13 alpha oh the banding I believe is a current problem with volumetrics in the alpha ..thats it for tonight transrandomlight.mov transrandomlight.zip

  16. I was reading all the trash talk on the image contest and thought since my modelin is poor why not use hynotic suggestion So a used an expression to move a "great mechanical models" and animated the dot material for the hypnotic effect [attachmentid=15654] just kidding of course mec.mov

  19. I have noticed that turning on collision detection with hair and it goes wild and thought .... it had been reported ....not the helps you but at least you are not alone
  20. in the latest version of qt while mov is running click on view then click on loop I usually have to do it twice then when you stop it asks save and say yes then it loops....this is the free version of qt ..

It will be invisible until you goto the model in the chor not in the model area but where it appears in the chor and then set the value back to 100% but so it does not change gradually change it to 0% the frame before to set a point before you change it to 100% then it will be 0% say from frame 1 to 15 at 16 it become visible

I could make a tut but its too late tonight here is a $1.98 sample done in v13 [attachmentid=15488] I used a pose to turn a cookie cutter map on by changing it from color at 0% to Cookie cutter at 100% The displacemnt and color map by changing the 100% of image from 0% to 100% Turned on the hair material emitter length from 0% to 100% All this with one on/off pose [attachmentid=15489] Could post a simple on/of color decal tut maybe later if there is interest or if Gene wants too .
