Yes the cd must be in to start the p[rogram and can be removed after that...this is the copy protection you can download the latest version for 2007 ..14a and the newest alpha for next year 15 here http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showforum=2

emitstreaks.mov Would work better if I change the model to have the streaks in a small formation..will try making a smaller emit area might be easy to fix looks better ? edit_emitstreaks.mov emitstreak.zip v14

Thanks Nancy for the offer...two evil minds = one good... ....anyway I have to decide how much space I have available but I will agree I should probably document what I post better than my last site. I also have to determine what will work in the newer versions some of this stuff is from 8.5 or even before.

Nice design ..I took the picture off your original post and went into photoshop and selected the object and created a path that I exported as an illustrator file. Imported it into AM through A! wizard and got a pretty close copy. Here's a render Just showing away to get a model off of a picture

I now see what you were stating the emitter does show which would not normally be a problem if the group it was emitting from was part of say a log. You can report it to AM reports but I think it has come up before. Sorry for all the confusing answers.

Just reread your question ...the project you posted does not have the model embedded so I could not look at it but if the emitter (small model with fire/smoke material attached) is showing it is because you did not make it transparent I attached a screen grab of the finished project on the cd to show where to look hope that helps ...its sometimes hard to figure out the question being asked

Brain storming Forces as a fan . Have emitter in ball with different settings and have first set either die on contact or in so many frames Leave as is Those are my three of the top of my head

have you set any transparency on any of the sprites. hard to tell from you screen grab if you have advanced properies and property triangle checked under tools options global whcih would make this easy to detect.. why not post project I'm guessing after a quick look at the mayertial that the sparkles are way to big they are very bright and that looks like the problem...delete them and see if that helps or make them smaller

I did a simple animation after setting up an on/off pose for the model with off being 0% emitting and on being 100% emitting with the life of the sprite being 5 frames spritepose.mov V14 project file and sprite aspritepose.zip Turned sptites on twice for only 1 frame johnl3d---(who told john to animate....)

I have not done a lot of normal animating so of course this shows...arms have problems decided to try the squetch rig before installing in my character skate.mov

Not sure if its in the support area I just tried it after looking at the book. Which version are you working with ? I can try to post a screen capture of my settings later --later gray hair density set to .1 uncolored hair set to 1 and takes its color from cellturb
