  1. Just to mention it... See you *Fuchur*
  2. Hi guys, this is a demonstration of a small but (if you ask me) very powerful new feature in A:M v18k (getting beta tested at the moment): > Set camera to bird view / Set bird view to camera. Hope you like it . Thank you very much for adding it Steffen . See you *Fuchur* PS: Small little addition to the video: You need to be in a perspective bird view (!= orthogonal bird view) to have this feature. This is always the case if you use the turn tool starting in the camera view OR you can just toogle its state to be perspective by pressing "\" / hitting the button in the views toolbar. PPSS: And of course: I am talking about the Turn-Tool, not the rotate tool I mention all the time in the video . set_camera_to_bird_view.mp4
  3. So you lost your recipe, do not have access to your original email account (not even using a web interface or something?) and you lost your password for the Hash webshop? did you change your computer configuration since you bought the software (this would have changed the host id too and that would make it all very hard since Hash could not verify that you are really the person who bought that before...)? if you need a new one it is likly that you have right? what would you suggest to use for verification for Hash to be sure that there is not just someone with an equal name or even just someone who knows your name who wants to use your software licence you paid for without permission? See you *Fuchur*
  4. HI Madfox, you can use the host-id-tool downloadable on the trial request page to get your host-id again. And the easiest way to proove you are an owner of the software is too redirect the email you received with your subscription information in it or go to the hash webshop, login, have a look at the order history and give your name, order-nr and the date when you bought it. I'd say that should be enough to varify you. Otherwise, the host id (if it has not changed) should be enough too, but you never know if it still is the same as before. See you *Fuchur*
  5. Fun stuff Thank you very much for sharing See you *Fuchur*
  6. Very interesting Paul... Robert might be one of the guys who could do that... he has a few very cool started tutorials... See you *Fuchur*
  7. Just to mention it: It really is not even about A:M... if you would have said the same mentioning Lightwave or Sido or something else, you would probably have gotten an quite equal response... There are always people who will tell you that your software is bad and their software is the best... as well as it would be with operation systems, your newest smartphone or the color of your hair... there are just strange, unlikeable people out there who really just need something to do and use there free time to annoy other people... that is all that there is to say: Just don't let that get to you. You are using a software you like, or the smartphone, operation system or whatever you like. It is your decission, not their's. And as long as you are happy, everything else is just not worth thinking about in that direction... See you *Fuchur*
  8. Looks to me like a typical smartskin-challenge... why is that not working for you? You need to be very careful with how many positions to set typically (since otherwise it will look a bit jumpy) but what exactly is not working out there? See you *Fuchur*
  9. I'm coming around to the idea that if you're not sitting at your computer modeling, the least you can do is have it cranking out frames. While you're at your day job, it's nice to know that you're still making progress on your hobby. The link is at the bottom of this post, just below my name. On Feb. 8, at Hash Support's request, I uploaded backups of all the tutorial files to Hash's FTP site. All those files have links to the old Hash directories. He said he could "fix the links" once they were sent. Hi Rodger, just wanted to let you know, that your tutorials are still on the server and I asked Jason if he could create a new subdomain for your tutorials. (that is more tidy and easier to work with than having it in the main directory. I'll tell you when the subdomain is ready . See you *Fuchur*
  10. There should be a group created called "Sweeptobject", which should hold all the duplicated geometry in it. Doesn't this help you? See you *Fuchur*
  11. For me a hater is a fan boy of another software who just needs to be right about that his software is the best and every other software (especially the one the person is using he is currently talking with) is the devil in itself and wrong at whatever there can be... that stuff that you hear if you ask why Windows is better than Mac or why Macs are better than Windows PCs.... But yes in that explaination above it is right... but I do not see a problem in saying something negative... that is okay... if it is true or it is true for the biggest part. See you *Fuchur*
  12. that is the right spirit and all you say is right for me too... there are even more people who do an amazing job with A:M and yes it is all about the artist. some get how A:M is working and feel it flowing and some wont. that is fine with me. not everybody can paint but may be better in pottery. that is fine... everybody is different and everybody should have its place to do what s/he likes. i am one who gets A:M and loves it for the flow and fluid way to work with. i like the way you think about it... screw the people who think to know what is good for all other people... nobody does... become a great artist with the software you like the most... i think everybody here is happy to hear that it is A:M for you. for me it is too see you *Fuchur*
  13. actually it is not a hater... i think in some aspects he has a point in others he does not... most is just opinion... i think he can have that opinion... for instance: A:M is a little in its own world. that is right. i just do not see why that needs to be bad. it is very suited for beginners in animation. of course he is wrong that it is a pain for a experienced user... in my opinion it is a blast for someone who can use it and i think especially if you are not already thinking in box modelling terms it is very easy to work with. a:m models tend to be less detailed than some sculpted models... that is just not a bad thing in many situations since they stay extremly well manageable... the only thing i do not like is the first sentense... it is not a thing of the past... A:M is still amazing and does do things nicer and easier than any other software... and yes the other way round it is true too... but that is normal and that is really right for any software out there. this is not a pure hater post... it is one with opinions i dont share in it but it is not extremly unfair or totally wrong... it just does not tell the whole story. i will have a look at the thread when i come home and will see if i can give a fair and nice answer over there. see you *fuchur*
  14. Could be a malfunctional graphiccard... that would explain it quite well... Do you have an old computer or another one you could use the graphiccard from just to see if that is the problem? Or are you on a computer with a iGPU, APU oder a graphiccard on the mainboard? You could try to enable that one and see what is going on. See you *Fuchur*
  15. MD House too . Looks indeed promising... somehow reminded me of Terry Pratchett's Long Earth... I'll properly watch it... See you *Fuchur*
  16. Hey Ken, very nice to hear from you . See you *Fuchur*
  17. hi mr buzz... actually I am not really an employee of Hash but I'll try to help anyway . online training can be found here: http://www.hash.com/training-13-en Have a look at the User Tutorials and the Hash Videotutorials and of course on the manuells if you like the written stuff better. Additional to that there are many video tutorials on the web like the once here: http://www.patchwork3d.de/video-tutorials-24-en Or you can find some interessting stuff on the forum: https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showforum=50 I am not sure if there is any real life training available directly from Hash. You would have to ask Jason directly for that (support@hash.com). In general you can get great information and help on the forums very easily if you ask for specific topics. People tend to help where they can here . See you and hope that helps a little *Fuchur*
  18. direct3d is gone... opengl is easier to work with since it runs on both platforms... i am not sure why this is happening for you... what are we talking about when we talk about small fps in shaded mode? did you up your subdivison level too much? v18 overs subdivisions in realtime of 4096 too which will slow everything down very much. in the options you can limit that to 16 which should work much better... i am running a hd 7850 here and it works flawlessly...
  19. Glad you enjoyed it Matt. You started this with your suggestion, now I'm hooked on tweaking camera moves...will have a refined shot sometime next week. It disappeared last month for reasons unknown. At that time I let Hash Support know about both the missing thread and the fact that the links to my tutorials are broken but Support (I assume Jason) hasn't got around to them yet. No big deal, the fact that nobody has complained to me about the broken links since the server change-over means demand is low. do you still have the old link to your tutorials? i could have a look if i can find them. see you *Fuchur*
  20. do you use the latest omega drivers from AMD? those are the best once in general. (especially the omegas... that is a new driver generation which is programmed totally new) i am using opengl3 and the sse3 version of A:M. what do you experience? did you use a nvidia card in the same computer before? if yes you need to get rid of the nvidia driver whixh still may be installed. (just uninstalling is often not enough... you may need to search for "uninstall nvifia drivers" on the searchengine of choice . See you *Fuchur*
  21. 18k will need a little... it is currently in beta testing... (and yes, it is fixed ) See you *Fuchur*
  22. Actually as I see it there is a consolidation going on for the 3d software industry.... Softimage is gone, Messiah Studio is quite dead (at least what I heard of from a tester for a 3d magazin), TrueSpace is gone, LIghtwave seems to be in hard times too, Realsoft 3d is gone, etc. Blender and Modo are doing well, Max and Maya stay what they were... C4d is nice, BUT as expensive as Max & Maya nowadays... Photoshop has some 3d abilities, but you can easily leave them alone as they are really quite basic... ZBrush, MudBox etc. > you really only need one if at all. Sculptris & 3dCoat are nice alternatives for less money.... even the real sketchup is more expensive than A:M: A:M is really the only easy to use serious 3d application nowadays if you ask me (at least I did not stumble upon something else)... But wait: Why are we talking about that in a TAR of Zandoria-thread? Lets try to stay on topic See you *Fuchur*
  23. Great looking drawings Will . I may join in on some things too if I can... See you *Fuchur*
  24. Hi everybody, here is a tutorial on how to create a foot and a second one on how to create a hand. Hopefully they are helpful to some of you. See you *Fuchur* PS: English is not my mother tongue, so be patient with me tutorial_hand.mp4 creating_a_simple_foot.mp4
  25. Looks like a good foot too me . Though you may want to put the toes on the ground. Do you have a top-view? See you *Fuchur*
