  1. Looks fantastic, Will!
  2. There are a few places I would add splines and a few I would reduce splines. I think the eye sockets might need a ring or two added, I would find a way to get rid of the spline that comes off the nose and ends in a hook (it's causing some creasing because it is so close to the adjacent splines), I would reduce the number of splines that make up the mouth and my personal preference would be to make the eyeballs like the eyes in the tutorial in my signature. For this kind of character, Matthew Krick's tutorials would probably be helpful. I am presently working on Bertram and thought that some wireframe renders of his head might also be helpful even though he is a different style...here. Hope that helps.
  3. I moved Bertram's eyes farther apart, tweaked the hairline and made his hands five-fingered...I still need to fix the ears and finish the details. Hopefully, sometime this week I'll get some more renders up that show everything. I rendered a quick wireframe example for a post in one of Dan's threads, I'll post it here so that I keep all things Bertram in one location.
  4. Happy Birthday, David Seymour (Dagooos)!
  5. Happy Birthday, Marcos!
  6. I asked earlier, but I'll ask again...is Mirror mode on?
  7. It's going to be a while, unfortunately...I'm hoping for less than six months, but we'll see what happens.
  8. I'm currently using the new family computer I got when we were initially displaced (we still are at this point)...it's underpowered, so I won't be able to do everything I'd like to do. I'll have to wait until I get something more powerful before I can finish the tutorials I was working on, but I'm able to do a few things that I've been telling myself I would get back to. The first thing I did was make a second pass on the scripts for the Bertram shorts. The second thing, which I'm still in the process of doing, is remodeling Bertram. The beginning of that is here. Hopefully, I'll get another laptop in the next couple of months.
  9. I decided to change Bertram's look, so I'm in the process of remodeling him. These images show where I'm at...still a lot to do. The only texturing I've added are the iris' and the hair...anything else will wait until he's rigged. I still need to add some details and will probably change the ears. He'll also get some changes to fix problems I find as I rig him.
  10. LOL! Fantastic, Mark! Makes me think of Dr. Seuss machinery.
  11. Is Mirror mode on?
  12. Great stuff, Mark!
  13. Happy Birthday, Rodney!
  14. Yves' beveling tutorial
  15. You can enable radiosity in the Properties of a Choreography. Rendering options would be under "Tools/Options/Rendering"...make sure "Advanced" is checked. If you do a search of the forums for "radiosity" you'll find some discussions, including this one. Hope that helps.
  16. Happy Birthday to us all! And Happy New Year!
  17. I'll also throw in Brian Prince.
  18. Lots of waiting. I cleaned up everything in my yard except for the two sheds that don't belong to me (I'll have to deal with the one sticking in the side of my house, but the other one can wait). I have a couple of people I'm now waiting to hear back from...it's the holidays. Things should pick up next week.
  19. The dog looks great so far, Steve! I'll guess a large poodle?
  20. I like the look, Rodney!
  21. If you make a copy of your model, delete all Smartskins you don't want to mirror, "Mirror All Smartskins", save the model under a different name, open the original model, then drag and drop the new Smartskins on the original file...it should work.
  22. Looks great so far, Steve!
  23. Congrats, Will! Good luck on your project!
  24. Looks great, John!
