Michael Brennan Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Hi Guys, Started working on something new and thought I'd to try something different. Instead of posting still images of my modeling progress I did some video screen capture. Sped up around 20x hope it isn't too jarring. 1 1 Quote

Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 1, 2021 Hash Fellow Posted February 1, 2021 Hey that's fun to watch! It's like one of those ZBrush demos. So let's see... 20 x 4 minutes and 12 seconds is... um... uh... pretty good time, whatever it is! 1 Quote

Thanks Robert, hahaha that would be some fast modeling if it was made in an hour and twenty minutes... Did a little bit of editing to trim things down, was closer to 4hrs. Quote

Fuchur Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Always amazed how nice the resulting images look. You really have a talent for lightening, texturing and rendering and the modelling is very well done too :). Best regards *Fuchur* Quote

Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 2, 2021 Hash Fellow Posted March 2, 2021 It's great fun to watch the details develop. I like the water spots on the coffeepot. i have a library of textures like that but I'm too unimaginative to use them. Quote
Michael Brennan Posted March 2, 2021 Author Posted March 2, 2021 Thanks Robert, Been a fun way to document the process. Textures are a funny thing, I used to save them just incase I would need them then always end up doing something custom when the time comes or find something better on google. I'm the worst hoarder of anything. I'll keep something for 5 years then throw it out.. then need it the next day. Quote
Michael Brennan Posted March 17, 2021 Author Posted March 17, 2021 Latest Time-lapse Vid, weaving a kitchen together with splines.. and some radiosity... 1 1 Quote
Michael Brennan Posted March 18, 2021 Author Posted March 18, 2021 Thanks David! Here are a couple of the still renders from the video, going to start assembling my shot with what I've all modeled so far. 1 1 Quote

AM misses a lot of this kind of short videos that inform about processes (modeling, mapping, rendering, ...) and precise functions. As soon as I master the software, I hope to be able to make some to help me start with this software ! Quote
Michael Brennan Posted March 20, 2021 Author Posted March 20, 2021 I agree Olivier, Showing how easy it is to do things in A:M entices new users to give it a try. and like it for that very reason, I can spend more time being creative. Quote
Michael Brennan Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 Some progress on the scene, working on adding a few other elements like toothpicks and wall decorations... composited with aftereffects. 1 Quote

Fuchur Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Damn Michael, those are just great! The lightening, DOF and materials are amazing. Best regards *Fuchur* Quote
Michael Brennan Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 Thank you Fuchur! DOF was created using my favourite plugin for After Effects. Frischluft Lenscare. Quote
Michael Brennan Posted March 27, 2021 Author Posted March 27, 2021 Yeah a little pricey for a plug-in, I’m fortunate I don’t spend much money on software these days since my work pays for the Adobe suite. Quote
Michael Brennan Posted March 27, 2021 Author Posted March 27, 2021 Some more details bringing the story elements together. 1 Quote

Michael Brennan Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 Thanks Guys! It's a funny thing, spending time designing a label thats just going to be out of focus in the final render. Quote
