Michael Brennan
Hi Guys, Been experimenting with rendering some gem and glass like objects in A:M and decided to try my hand at rendering some quartz crystals. Have a few more things I'd like to add and experiment with in the scene so figure I'll keep adding here as a WIP when I get around to it. ( have to get back to my Snoopy post as well ) A few post tweaks were added in Photoshop like exposure and blurring.

Michael Brennan
Playing around with some more crystal renders some green for that kryptonite look. Rendered a separate flat shaded pass of the crystals to add the glow effect in photoshop and the usual PS tweaks.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 15, 2020 Hash Fellow Share Posted October 15, 2020 Very lovely. The little fracture lines are interesting. How did you do those?

Thanks Robert! For the crystal colour used a gradient with celturb to get faceted mixing. The fractures are a Scales bump.. there is another bump projection map texture for finer bumps. Michael Brennan
Animated rotation of the Kryptonite. After Effects and Premiere were used for some compositing and glow.
