Camillo Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Thought someone might be interested in my latest rush project for a client to be used in a 30 sec logo. Took 18 hours of work and contains 10,671 patches. Camillo Quote
phatso Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Truly deliteful. The specular hilite on the leather chair should be altered. Bigger highlight but not so bright. Maybe change the color to lite red. Aside from that, you got one beautiful model. Quote
Kamikaze Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 That is beautiful! Love the movie also, veery inspiring as a child. Quote
Moonsire Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Very nicely done. I am a big fan of the George Pal film, and that time machine is sweet. Quote
animas3D Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Excellent model. Brings back memories. By the way, I am interested in making a brass material. Would you put the settings for the material to analyze as well as any tips on making good mettalic textures? Quote
Camillo Posted February 15, 2008 Author Posted February 15, 2008 Thanks for the Great Response; Modeling Takes a lot of practice, and each model I do gets better. Yes the highlight on the chair leather could use some inprovement. I'll make some changes. Thanks Phatso! Gerry Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Yeah, really nice model, and nice detailing. Will you be able to show us the client's finished :30 when it's done? Quote
Camillo Posted February 16, 2008 Author Posted February 16, 2008 Hi Gerry, Yes, I'll post more when it's finished, the Client gave the OK. I've Finished and smoothed out the actions, and I'm almost ready for rendering ( just a bit more tweaking). Calculations indicate about 40 hours render time in A:M. I will still have a lot of work on post production FX in After effects, and then sound and music. This Project is a rush interupting other work for the same Client. Not complaining, the Work is nice it;s just that there are only a limited number of hours in the day. ( need to sleep and eat sometimes, and there is the Honey-Do's) Thank's for your interest, Camillo Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 16, 2008 Hash Fellow Posted February 16, 2008 That looks quite good. You should enter it next time the "mechanical" contest comes around. Quote
cuboos Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 huh, i just finished reading the book and then i saw this thread, spooky. Quote
heyvern Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 I love that movie! I have it on DVD and have watched it a bazillion times. In celebration of your beautiful interpretation I will watch it again tonight as I work... make notes... check for accuracy. p.s. Some years ago they tracked down the original movie prop in some guys shed or garage... and restored it. There is an "extra" bit of footage they filmed just for the DVD with the original actors that takes place many years after the ending of the original film. Kind of schmaltzy but fun. -vern Quote
jamagica Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 huh, i just finished reading the book and then i saw this thread, spooky. Or did you look at it BEFORE you decided to read the book?? The power of the machine surges through 3D pixelization!! Quote
