Atomike Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I recently finished another commercial using Animation Master. It was a quick job, made easy with my favorite software. Switch.wmv Edit - here's a Quicktime for folks that are having problems:Switch.mov Quote
Admin Rodney Posted June 27, 2007 Admin Posted June 27, 2007 Very nice Mike! Simple, direct and to the point. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted June 27, 2007 Hash Fellow Posted June 27, 2007 Congratulations! (I was hoping it was going to turn out to be a sausage) You should have had it turn on at the end. Bing! Quote
John Bigboote Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 HEY! That's neatO! Good work...I hope the revenue generated paid YOUR electric bill...and then some. Good for you! I would have liked to have seen more texturing, transparancy, color and stuff...but thats just me. Quote
Paul Forwood Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I couldn't get it to play for some unknown reason. Quote
Gorf Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Same here a couple of hours ago, but I tried it just now and it worked fine. Quote
Mohammad Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 nice man, what else did you use? Is it pure a:m? Quote
Atomike Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 Pure A:M! Well, almost. The end slate with the white logo (and audio mixing) were composited in AVID Xpress, however all the real visuals were done in A:M. Thanks to all for the kind words. Quote
MattWBradbury Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I just wish the LED light bulbs would come down in price. I agree that the light should have turned on at the end; it is a light. Though someone might think that the lights don't need to be plugged in inorder to work. Quote
phatso Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 When Russian troops invaded Germany at the end of WWII, they unscrewed light bulbs and took them home. Many had never seen them before. Didn't realize you need electricity to run them - Votzk Eleioktrykhytiy? Yeh, it would have been nice if the lamp had lit up - two minutes' work in A:M. The other thing I would have done, which you might consider doing if you're going to be making lots of ads, is to make an actual sound-narration booth. All it has to be is a GOOD mike (chinese ones are available for under $100) and a chair with blankets hung around it to kill room ambience. That's what I've got. And if you can find a guy with a voice dripping with testosterone, so much the better. Those two things - making the lamp glow and tweaking the soundtrack - would have put this in the Madison Avenue ad agency league. Which brings up a point - do you still own some rights to this ad? You might make the suggested changes and shop it around. There are power companies everywhere that would like people to use fluorescents. Quote
johnl3d Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I was waiting for your avatar to wallk on and flip a switch... Quote
Atomike Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 I ran out of time trying to figure out how to make it light up. What would be the best way to do this? Also, you're correct that the voice is not great - I had to voice it myself for deadline reasons. Thanks for the kind words! Quote

I would have just used the glow settings. would have worked just fine I'd say. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com Quote
