Nice Design DarkLimit, Is the top one the skeleton for the bottom fish?

I really like the evil cartoony feel.

I wouldn't be so happy to live on an island if I had to deal with these fish on a daily basis.

Thanks alot guys for your feedback...... I will texture them in a few weeks after am done modeling the entire school of fishes and characters......

Thanks mike..... am not going to use scales. Am looking into using TOONNATION's plugins to create the fish textures...... Kinda like an alien look but it will be kept very simple..... I will have more on the texturing as I develop some [ Material ]concepts.

A ridiculously large amount of fish info is available from http://www.fishbase.org/search.cfm

You could get lost for days trying to find Nemo in this lot. :D

You will be able to get hundreds of photographs to use for decaling your designs. Some of the deep water fish look to match the mood you have captured with your modelling.

Keep posting your updates, they are a real inspiration.

i'm not sure why, but a creepy fish carrying an egg seems much more evil than a creepy fish with teeth. is this really a psychology test? <_>

Damn, these characters are really coming along. The only problem I have is with the lines leading away from the eyes. I would try to get them smoother. Unless that's the way you wanted it :).

You tweaked it around the corners of the lips, right? He (she -- it?) looks a bit more expressive, like s/he/it's about to say something. Sort of lends a more articulated identity to the creature instead of something blindly animal. Totally hinges on what you're going for.

I'm really looking forward to the results, DarkLimit. I've been astounded by your talent in your other work. :)

Thanks so much Ross Smith - modeling these fishes so they animate well is a task but you guys are really helping me... Am glad you like my work...

hehe I don't think a hook could capture this type of fish :D

now I have to attach the fins on his back to his body, am almost finish modeling him..

I will soon do a test animation of him chasing something..

Thanks for your feedback..........

My plan is to use TOONNATION plugins to texture my fish, it's very tricky to get it looking right, but here is what I have so far....... I like this texture very much!!!!

Beautiful work DarkLimit. I've been watching these for a while now and they just get better and more threatening each render.

Question - are the teeth part of the fish mesh or are they seperate ... did you model them and just fit them into the mesh?

Keep ON!!

Hi guys,

I am in process of Re-modeling my fish, the cyclops look was not working out. it's not flexiable enough to give me the emotions that my animation needs... So I added both eyes....

I will update him as I progress.

Thanks...... The pink tint is just a red light under him; I will texture him in a few days.... right now am focusing on finishing modeling him..

The two eye'd model does work better in conveying emotions and such, especially in a fish where you don't have as much body language, so to speak, to work with to convey emotions.

Really am enjoying looking at them. Can't wait for the textured versions.
